The 'insurgents' in Iraq, are Islamic fundamentalist warriors from across the middle east. Afghanistan's over thrown gov't was an Islamic fundamentalist gov't. The 'insurgents', again, are Islamic fundamentalist warriors, from across the middle east.
There is most definitely an identifiable target.
