After 9-11: Can the West Defeat Radical Islam?

I was thinking of the chatter between the firemen, like when one said they could knock the fire down with two hoses would be part of the 'full version'.
Sprinklers have back up connections for pumper truckers. Manhattan is an island and the trade center was actually what used to be a port. Right next to water hence the Port Authority having domain over the trade center.
I see some are wearing their tinfoil hats today....seems to happen every year around this time
First of all: how is one to determine who belongs in the "radical Islam " category .
Second: what is happening is a radical condemnation , prejudice against a group of people that have a belief system that many in the west don't understand but have decided to make those believers pariahs on the planet.
Third: How different is this prejudice different from how the Nazi's felt about the Jews and went about destroying them??
The hatred of all things Islam is coloring people's judgement.
Americans hate to be painted with the same brush , when one generalizes about its flaws, So is it fair to hate all Islam believers because a few have gone radical.
All that Islam hating has gone extreme. Can one paint all Xtians with the same brush........when a few fanatics go on a shooting spree or bomb abortion cliniics.??
Personally I have NO "religious" affiliation and never would as beliefs that are so ingrained limit a persons potential for new ideas and change. IF one must categorize: then Humanism and REALISM , with LOGIC and EVIDENCE would be the one for YT.
The key question to be answered: Is violence and wars (and killing over a million PEOPLE ) the right response to the dramatic (for maximum effect) a terror act ....(crime) that killed about 4000.
The other question is: Are american lives more important than any other life on the planet?? IF americans believe they are......then the US is in serious pychological impairment.

Transcript is fine - preferably with an audio track - if it can be verified as authentic. What truth is there in an after-the-fact editorial?
PS: Is the war activity launched after 9-11 an effort against TERRORISM ( which is a crime and has taken place in many parts of the planet
