When you bandy about the word White the way you keep doing ...you become the damned racist that you're always crying about and you don't even realise it...what a shame!
I honestly think that Canada tries to be too compassionate. We don't like to say "no" to anyone with a half decent story, thus the number of refugee claimants we allow is always high. I can't speak with any authority about specifics on our immigration system except to say that although I realize we need immigration to help maintain our population and thus our society, 280 000 people a year seems very high to me. I am curious how this number compares to the US, and European nations.
We need more immigrants. It stimulates our economy. Who else is going to buy all those Chinese products we import?

It's pretty easy to lump all muslims together apparently, but what about non-practising muslims, secular muslims? Should they be denied entry because some people of their faith are terrorists?

Why do you throw your support behind a religion that permits child sex, physical abuse and subjection of women and the cutting off of hands for stealing a chocolate bar?
Well I believe in freedom so all religions are evil in my view but I refuse to discriminate against anyone who practices one. If they commint a crime then they should be dealt with under the laws of the land in which they committed the crime.
Moral of the story. Don't steal in a muslim country if you want to jerk off tomorrow.
Other than the brutality of it, how is it different from Christians who want to impose their narrow views on the rest of us?
How about the socialists?.. Scientists... Philosophers?...
Are their views more sanitary and therefore deserving of being plied on society?
I object to anybody trying to impose their will on the rest of us. Unfortunately, there will always be some who will try. Having said that, I was addressing the specific statement about Muslims, which was a religionist comment.

Fair enough, I can see the logic.
My point, any time that a "group" organizes to achieve and ends, the potential exists to leverage that goal at the expense of another demographic, group, etc..
I think that there are plenty of planes and boats to achieve your goal... All you need is the cash to charter them and land on Cdn soil.
