Obama's job has been made so much more difficult by the antagonistic ,uncooperative party first Neanderthal neocons who seem to resist just because they can. That mentality if let loose again......would set america back even further than it has regressed in the past decade.

President Barack Obama has sent a letter to House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid requesting the opportunity to lay out his jobs plan before a joint session of Congress at 8 p.m. ET on September 7.
"It is my intention to lay out a series of bipartisan proposals that the Congress can take immediately to continue to rebuild the American economy by strengthening small businesses, helping Americans get back to work, and putting more money in the paychecks of the Middle Class and working Americans, while still reducing our deficit and getting our fiscal house in order," the president wrote. "It is our responsibility to find bipartisan solutions to help grow our economy, and if we are willing to put country before party, I am confident we can do just that."

That is what a reasonable, leader does as he tried to include all in the decision making process . He outlines the objectives , asks for cooperation and solid dialog. (something the RW repukes don't understand and don't want to . WHY?? Probably because it is threatening to have to actually talk to the subject rationally without individual bashing , name calling and just being childish & mostly really taking their responsiblity seriously for their COUNTRY ....... )
The repukes have almost ruined the nation.......and won't be happy until the destruction is complete. Their obstructionism is so unbelievably immature.........they should all be sent back to kindergarden to start their "development" all over again
