Yep, that's how I see it !!A state-approved funeral?!?
That's just criminal.
Where's the respect for the tax payer?![]()
He did not have to offer a state funeral.Does anyone really think he was going to say no? Give your heads a shake.
What do you think that would have done to his career as PM?Yep, that's how I see it !!

I am shocked !!![]()
For non CBC viewers and eastners, it would have elevated it !!What do you think that would have done to his career as PM?

Exactly. It would be like dropping an anvil on your own foot to spite your foes.Of course not - Be a real dumb move. The uproar would be huge if he did not.
Easterners hate Harper. Colpy is the only Conservative on the East Coast.
Good for ON. That means more Con MPs that have to vote along party lines to pump even more money into the heart of the CDN economy. AB and SK.East coast is different though.
East coast is different though.
Ontario only got lumped in with "Easterners" once we became a "have not" province. That's when Albertans took aim, and everything to their directional right became the new left.

Wait til Mulroney dies.
The difference is you'll be the only one crying about it while everyone else is saying that.
The only reason Harper got a majority was because of "Easterners". Ontario has more elected conservative MP's then BC and Alberta combined.
I wasn't impressed with harpers speech {about the missed jam}it would have meant so much more if it didn't sound like he was reading sombody elses feelings.
I didn't find it that way at all......
Harper is not a great speaker.......and I don't want to over-analyze, but I actually thought he was on the edge of choking up at that point.......
And it has a bigger population than B.C. Alberta, Sask. and Manitoba combined!
