Great. Another hoodwinked voter. Are you trying to dish me a load of crap? Did the number of murderers, child molesters, drug importers, yada, yada, yada suddenly go up in the last little while Megahertz? Here I thought crime was on the way down. I must be reading the wrong news then.
Go and sell your snake oil somewhere else.

You are not reading the wrong news, crime is shown to be declining over the last few years but the stats are also a couple of years behind. We should start seeing the results of the economic collapse hitting the statistics very soon and it will be interesting to see the effect. Add in the mandatory minimums Harper wants and the increased use of jail for minor offenses like possesion and shoplifting and there will most likely be a need for more prisons in the near future.

Need I remind you of the 'nutter' comment? You have a habit of agitating people on here and when they retaliate you get so offended it's really very amusing.
Not quite as amusing as your paranoia will destroy ya comment, that set the tone. If you can't handle reciprocation, don't set tones you'll only cry about later, ok pumpkin?

And btw, I'm never offended, oft amused, tickled pink, provoked to actually laugh out loud, but never offended. As you should have been able to assess by the mere fact that no one has alienated me.

How many people have you alienated now?
This is the Internet, if you feel alienated by someones posts, I suggest you seek serious psychiatric counseling immediately.

And I see you still haven't acknowledged the fact that the Canadian Prison system, is in a state of disrepair.

You are obviously only capaple of grasping half the picture. While the number of crimes may well be going down, Harper is going to beef up the sentences for the serious offenders, so we may well have a case of 10% fewer prisoners serving triple the sentence, hence more bunkers are required. Now is that hard to comprehend?

Lots of the socially progressive nations in Europe provide free daycare, some even provide it to families with 2 woking parents and a good income. It is considered economically beneficial to allow both parents to contribute to the economy and tax burden at the small cost of daycare services.

Of course it is beneficial to have both parents working in order to be able to pay more taxes to support the government welfare system they created. If is a program that will just drive more and more to the poor house as the population grows. Taxes should be lowered to where one parent can afford to work while the other one raises the children. (1950's style). Less crime, less problems with the kids. Actually those European countries are not socially progressive, but socially regressive by destroying the ideal family structure. Those daycare services workers deserve to have a decent salary also, after all their job is the most important.

It is a fine line and a balancing act. I would agree that an economy and tax structure that allowed for a single income to afford all the needs would be the superior choice but we are far removed from that and I highly doubt we will ever move back towards it as the disparity in wealth grows ever larger. I have been fortunate that my wife was able to stay home and only went to work part-time for reasons of boredom after both kids were in highschool and fairly independant. We have been rewarded with reasonably well adjusted, intelligent children who have never been in trouble.

So full of yourself dude. You got offended by my paranoia comment!! Someone needs a hug...aww c'mere.

Yeah, I get why they're sinking $9.5B into prisons. To house pot smokers and shop lifters (and the odd bin Laden look-alike). Talk about your paranoia gone wild. Nothing a little therapy wouldn't fix at a fraction of the cost. The retrofit on the old jails doesn't come close to the total budget, unless they're planning on gold faucets in every loo.

Now back to the gas issue...if you will. Unless you still feel a need to brow beat me a little more...lol.

The rumor here is that gas will go up $.06 tomorrow on the basis that there is a little flooding in the southern states. So this one MUST be Harper's fault since he has a clear majority and is in a position to prevent it if he had any balls or concern for voters.

Do not understand the word reciprocated?

A paragraph with the opening sentence so full of paranoia, that goes on to accuse me of paranoia for stating the prison are being built to alleviate over crowding in antiquated facilities? And I'm full of myself?

You should post more, you're funny!!! <<<Seriously.

You begged me for attention. Why are you crying about it now?

Is this where you feel alienated and cry some more, for getting what you asked for?

It went from $131.9 to $136.9 here today... It's around $1.02 in Montana for fuel made in the same Canadian refinery 10 km from where I sit right now that has us paying $136.9.

Yes it is hard to comprehend. If you have 10% fewer prisoners why do we need more space? Can't you keep the S.O.B. in a musty old room for 30 plus years? Why does he need the Hilton to do his time? Just looking for accountability from our government that's all.

Hook, line and sinker Mhz, you've managed to swallow all of it. Good boy.

By the way, I really really hope some day I can rise to your level of capability and grasp the big picture like you do. It must be sooo gratifying.

The best way to fight it, Petros is to quit buying gas and with the money you save buy a good pair of sneakers and then you can enjoy the added benefit of reduced healthcare costs.

That's been made abundantly clear.

It would be nice, but I'm not holding out hope.
It must be sooo gratifying.
It is, pity you can't bask in the gratification with us.

perhaps if you get that paranoia looked after.

Were you addressing me or Mhz? We're two different cats. I think when you admitted it was hard to comprehend you lost about 90% of your credibility. To put it another way that even an idiot can understand,it's not the number of prisoners that determines the size required, it's the number of man/woman years.

That's been made abundantly clear.

It would be nice, but I'm not holding out hope.

Is it paranoia or drinking too much rot gut?

Get over yourself man! You are nothing but a blip on my internet horizon. Not hard to get your attention though, that's for sure. Pity the fool who crosses you huh? It really sucks when someone disagrees with you or takes a different position than you, eh. Exactly the kind of Con running this country right now.

That's a great idea. I'll stop buying fuel and get a heard of elephants to pull a 60ft air seeder. I've always wanted to be a Mahout.

Yes I can see that. Which of course would explain why you keep replying and got real upset when I answered your question. Which you still ignore, only to replace with your paranoia.

Not hard to get your attention though, that's for sure.
What can I say, I'm used to working with young kids who beg for my attention.

Pity the fool who crosses you huh?
No one pities you.

Dear Gawd no. I actually hate it when people agree with me. How would I get my online entertainment then? Besides, I disagree with a plethora of people, some I've actually met in real life, and we all get along fine. But then again, they aren't condescending, paranoid ideologues
Exactly the kind of Con running this country right now.
I don't think he'd get as big a kick out you as I do.
