Don't bet on it.....another solid minority will keep him on, IMO.....I mean, who else is in the wings??? Peter??? Nah....

I am very sorry Chuck Strahl is unwell and retiring.

I doubt Harper would be undone if he had similar results but to say no one is checking his pulse is wrong.

Mckay, Prentence (he'll be back), Baird, Clement and Farty just to name a few.

The big problem in all politics today is quite simple. There are no real working class people elected to represent the working class people. We are continually presented with the option of a silver-spoon toting lawyer backed by their rich business aquaintances from the right or the same thing from the left. None of the people in government have a clue about what the average Canadian needs or wants. Until we get this changed and have some blue collar people run and get elected you can always be assured of more of what we have now.

You seem to have set to the side Mr. Prentice.

When you really look at it, the conservatives have placed themselves in an excellent position.

This will be a large sum of money spent to oust Ignatieff, financially cripple the already broke Liberal Party of Canada and move our Country back toward majority governments.

I am very surprised that the Liberals tossed the dice on this one, unless the knives are out once again.

I will not miss Ignatieff. Who will replace him I wonder?

Time for you to switch to some really good smoke.

If the Liberals follow their usual alternating practice, it will be a Francophone.

I'm most likely wrong, but I still predict a fall election. After Halloween, but before
Christmas. I'm guessing (& I'm out'a touch with most of the events of today, and
am assuming the vote on the Budget hasn't happened yet....) that all the Bloc
and NDP show for the vote....& just the right number (plus a margin of two)
of Liberals are absent...so that this Budget passes.

About 1/2 a year from now....Harper will pull something out'a his arse that would
be a none issue if it hadn't been brought up...something maybe tied to the $1.95
per vote & reducing that figure maybe....that'll harm all Parties...and be something
the voters think is a good idea....& THAT will force an election.

That's my prediction and my guess-work as to why. A Fall (and maybe late Fall)
Election. Sometime after the harvest is in, but before December shopping.

I agree, almost. They know exactly what the average Canadian needs and that is exactly why and how we will never get it. The main selection criteria for these sad and useless sacks of **** is the ability to lie into the face of every Canadian with absolutely no sense of shame. They are sociopathic pricks every last one of them. On a lighter note, **** them all.

I think it's time for a majority government . I'm just tired if all the bickering that goes on in Ottawa with often no real progress.

I am ( meaning all of us voters) should be deciding if the government has done a good job or if they should be kicked out. I am really really tired of the opposition, treating us like bimbos as they think we are stupid and THEY (opposion) should be telling us the government in power does not deserve to govern.
THAT OUR JOB TO DECIDE IF THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE KICKED OUT !!

Whew, I just had to get that off my chest ^^!!

While we're at it let's go all 'Logan's Run' and get rid of all the retired who suck billions from the economy....LOL

As long as you can be sure to differentiate from those retires who helped to build the economy. Some of us retirees are still putting our own money back into the economy.

If it wasn't for BC's multi-billion dollar pot industry, BC (and probably Canada's pot industry is propping up Canada) would be broke. With the forest industry all but dead, who do you think is propping up BC?

I'm not quite sure how that works. Except for the odd confiscation I don't see the gov't hauling in any tax revenue from it. Certainly some of those involved are spending money (very carefully) in the community- but "propping up" may be a little hyperbole.

MPs approve federal budget - Canada - CBC News

The House of Commons passed the Conservative government's budget Tuesday night....etc....

ROFLMAO!

Well done you.

Who you think you are anyway? The amazing Kreskin?

The NDP and Bloc Québécois voted against the budget, while most of the Liberal party supported the Conservatives' financial plan.

We already have a Kreskin here...& my prediction of a Fall Election hasn't happened yet.

Jack's grandstanding after the budget was released was the give away. The Bloc wasn't
going to vote to pass this budget, & the NDP made it very clear (to Iggy, not Harper) where
they where going to stand....and Harpers cards where already on the table so he couldn't
back down at this point....and that left what?

I expected many Liberals to just be absent, and not an open vote by the Lib's, so I was
wrong on that point, though the outcome was the same. Nothing mystical.
