That's not necessarily true though.
You're right. I should have been more clear and asked "How can they know?".
We can know the estimated cost of this operation (and how that effects taxpayers).
We can know the estimated probability of removing this dictator.
We can know the scope of this no-fly zone and the level of force to be used.
We can know the total amount of casualties and can compare that with expected casualties (both good and bad guys).
In the billions as far as estimated cost. At least for us in the US.
Your second question is tricky. We could definately remove him... but how far are we willing to go?
This "NO FLY ZONE" has turned into much more than that. Perhaps that was the intent all along but bombing tanks and truck convoys to me seems more than keeping Libyan jets on the ground.
How can we know the estimated casualties? There is no stop date.
And I'm sure a lot of people want to know the economic benefit from our looting and plundering.
We don't even get oil from Libya but France and England does. Perhaps Canada does too?
But the media tells us none of this.
I don't think the media knows.
I mean, christ, the least they can do is pop open excel and give us a legitimate breakdown. Everyone is in mental disarray because the most critical concepts surrounding the ordeal are never put into perspective.
I'd like to see one but I doubt it exists.
