we went as far as qualicum, decided not to continue, but had a nice lunch at shady rest, then
came back to the valley, nothing here at all as yet, just cold and cloudy, maybe it won't arrive
here, keeping my fingers crossed.

we were on our way to costco, but we'll wait a few days and go down there again, had a nice
drive anyway.

snow got lighter and lighter once we were north of deep bay area.

We have an accumulation of about 6 or 7 inches so far. We can get in and out of our driveway
easily. We haven't seen a snowplow so we don't have that big snowbank across the end
of the driveway yet. It is snowing right now and Environment Canada is saying we'll get another 10
centimeters by morning. I'm not going to worry about it though because it is going to warm up and rain
starting tomorrow night. I hope.....

we did get a dusting of snow later this afternoon, not nearly what you describe, but it is very
very cold here, and windy.

Very windy here too and minus 4C going to minus 12 by morning and minus 16C by Friday. I've had enough of this "global warming". LOL

yeah, thats about the same as here I think, but I don't think we will dip quite that low, but they
did say, record lows for this time of year, so we'll see what happens.

looking forward to the warm up and the rain.

-4C - -12C? That is supposed to be cold? You might want to plug the truck in or it won't start.

Not really, quite typical for January but by late Feb. we don't expect prolonged periods of this stuff. Old codgers feel it.

I guess we got off lucky this morning only a balmy minus 9C.

It could be 0C or -100C and I'm okay with it as long as it's dry and the barometric pressure stays high. As soon as it drops and humidity rises the rheumatoid arth in my joints goes nuts.

Absolutely- It's the wind chill here that's the killer.

Oh yeah, I forgot.
Vancouver too. I don't make for a good duck and I can't handle the interior slush besides, I don't live in the "bald" part of SK anyway. Thanks to one of the largest clear cuts to the planet it's pattern balding.

Did you ever fully recover from living in Vancouver?
