The Bush Presidency is the worst catastrophe to hit the US in recent memory.

President George W. Bush started an unprovoked war which has resulted in hundreds of thousands of needless deaths and turned millions of people into refugees. The Iraqi people and their leader did nothing to justify this war. Every justification Bush gave for starting this war were deceptions. Some people still haven't figured out that Iraq had nothing to do with the events of 9/11 and was compliant with UNSC resolutions. In fact a few weeks before the war began, Chief UN Weapon Inspector submitted a report to the UNSC which claimed that Iraq was cooperating and that all remaining disarmament issues would be resolved within a few weeks.

And yet the UN still pushed it through.

Starting an unprovoked war is a war crime. George W. Bush should be held to the same standard as Germans who were convicted of starting an unprovoked war of aggression at the end of WW II. Instead this war criminal was re-elected.
Yes he built massive railroads, in which he taxied millions of ethnic people to death camps where they were experimented upon and eventually exterminated, but not before harvesting the gold from their teeth and the hair on their heads to make socks.

Besides the tragedy of the Iraq war crime, Bush authorized the torture and murder of POWs at Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay and black sites around the world, the erosion of civil liberties, domestic spying and the abduction and extraordinary rendition of people (including Canadians) for torture and murder.
Who was murdered?

Bush's inaction during the Hurricane Katrina fiasco is just one example of Bush's gross incompetence.
and he hates black people oh and according you and Kenye West "Beyoncé had "one of the greatest videos of all time,"

Basically anyone who believes Bush was a great president is a manipulated idiot. I'm not surprised millions of idiots are buying Bush's book. They bought all the other lies, so why not buy the book.
I haven't heard a single person in this thread say Bush was a great President. Could you point that out.

I've been pretty clear where I stand on the Bush Presidency, but I wonder if you'll still be ranting about him in 20 years.

Oh, and for the record. You are an idiot.

I know I'm judging a book by it's cover here but even the title sounds like it was made up by someone who was illiterate.

Bush is a lot smarter than people give him credit for. He just lost his speaking ability as he got older. It happens, I know! :)

Watch some of his speeches when he was Gov of Texas, he was quite well spoken and eloquent. Something happened to him as he aged.

If it was called Talking points would you feel the same? Decision Points. [The points at which decisions were made. Possibly tough decisions.]

The author rarely picks the title, that is usually the editor's call.

he wasn't that old when he became president, guess his mind started turning to mush at an early age.

I think it was before he nearly bankrupted three companies.....was anyone surprised the economy tanked under his regime.

I wasn't.

Really, I have never shown up drunk at a homeless shelter yelling at the less fortunate.....so I can't relate.

Klein did alot more than that. You're just like the Trudeau haters that point to Trudeau's finger salute as if that is all he did in his time in office. Not a lot of cred on either side.

I was surprised that a nincompoop like him could actually become president, made my respect for that
position sag, as it's who you know sometimes, and not what you know, he got lots of free passes because
of his dad, whom I did like.

Yeah, but it was the most memorable thing he did on one of his few trips to British Columbia, so that is one of the things that WE remember him for.

While far from a defender of Bush, I believe he took alot of criticism for things that he was not responsible for. The economic meltdown and the handling of Katrina are at the top of that list. Also, as has been stated before, he was sharp enough to land a plane on an aircraft carrier. I think his biggest mistake was in surrounding himself with the wrong people.

BC'ers deserved it. Too artsy fartsy and hippy dippy to be given a proper wave.

I'm sure there are more than a couple posters on this forum who could land a plane on an aircraft carrier if they received the training.

The UN never approved the US led war crime against the Iraqi people. In fact the UN Sec. Gen. was pretty clear about the war's legality:

Lessons of Iraq war underscore importance of UN Charter - Annan16 September 2004 – Secretary-General Kofi Annan believes that the Iraq war in 2003 demonstrated the need for the international community to address the issue of preventive action in the context of Charter principles and showed the importance of joint efforts on matters of use of force, a United Nations spokesman said today.

Responding to media questions about the Secretary-General's comments in a BBC interview, spokesman Fred Eckhard told a press briefing in New York that in his remarks the Secretary-General had reiterated his well-known position that the military action against Iraq was not in conformity with the UN Charter.

In the interview, Mr. Annan was repeatedly asked whether the war was "illegal." "Yes," he finally said, "I have indicated it is not in conformity with the UN Charter, from our point of view, and from the Charter point of view it was illegal."...

The rest of your response wasn't even a straw man argument. I never made any of those claims or anything close to those claims. I said the Iraq war was a an unprovoked war crime which resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths and millions of refugees.

and they would not be morons.

Becoming a pilot is more than just jumping into a cockpit or even a simulator. There is extensive classroom theory involved.

I see no reason why a moron probably couldn't. There's plenty of morons who are very good at repeating tasks. It's when the variables change that the poor judgment of a moron are most evident.
