I see no reason why a moron probably couldn't. There's plenty of morons who are very good at repeating tasks. It's when the variables change that the poor judgment of a moron are most evident.

You think the variables stay the same when a plane attempts to meet an aircraft carrier? That variables stay the same when flying? I think that one might need some thinking through.

That's not what you said, but I have better things to do than point it out again.

Beyonce did have the best video ever though. I'll give u dat.

Cannuck BC'ers deserved it. Too artsy fartsy and hippy dippy to be given a proper wave.[/QUOTE said:
You have to make the distinction between two groups of British Columbians and the demographics, as you say there are lots of the types you mention- in urban centres on the coast and outlying islands and then there are the down to earth hard working types typical in the interior of British Columbia. If he had given the "salute" on Lasqueti Island instead of Salmon Arm, I would have backed him.

I guess you could always use God as your Co-pilot. That could take the wind and the waves out of it. I notice he's up for the task. I see alot of drivers around here have hired him.

I obviously wasn't clear enough...of course I'm not saying that. I'm referring to conditions outside of what would be considered normal. The kind of things they put in full flight simulators now. Some pilots innovate on the spot, and save lives. Others run through the checklist until the plane smashes into the ground. And some do wholly bizarre things. What I'm saying, is that morons, people who show questionable judgment, can still be capable of performing tasks that few ever will.

You're getting senile in your old age JLM. It is you who is finally listening to me.

You are not paying attention, as I pointed out today once already to one poster I am YOUNG at an ADVANCED age. Old age is 25 years away yet.

Don't try and fool me. You're probably wasted now.

Yeah, wasted all right - from exhaustion trying to impart some savvy into young whippersnappers who don't Listen good. And while I'm at I've been expecting a comment from you the past day or so on the hockey thread.

I cannot conceive of how anyone could think a 'moron' could learn to land a fighter on the ground, much less on a carrier.

Flying a plane is easy. Landing a plane is difficult. Landing a plane on a carrier is insanely difficult. (Disclaimer: I have never landed a plane on a carrier, so this statement is not from personal experience.)
