Can you point out specifically where, better yet quote, where Hamas admits using human shields? I skimmed it quickly and didn't see anything.

See the video posted in post 177 below where, in 2008 (I believe) a Hamas minister brags about using the civilian population as shields.

December, 2010: Randa Al-Jarousha has seven children. Her husband is jobless. He used to work in construction but he got sick and lost his job. Even if he gets better, his chances of finding another construction job are slim since building materials are in short supply.

Most days, Randa sends her son to school without breakfast and relies on the fortified snacks offered in the Milk for Preschoolers program run by ANERA.

"At least I know my son Mohammed can get milk and biscuits every day. Milk is too expensive for me now and I can't afford to give him protein-rich food like eggs or meat."...

...mothers resort to diluting the milk with a lot of water, which might satisfy their youngster's thirst but not his nutritional intake. Fresh milk at $2.70 a liter is beyond most budgets.

I now see children scavenging in the garbage to collect plastic bottles and other bits and pieces that they can sell in the market to help their parents buy food...

BTW, I am aware of several cases where Palestinian civilians helped militants escape capture or prevented Israel from destroying a building by turning up enmasse and using their bodies as human shields. I never said I supported these efforts either.

While people voluntarily putting themselves in harms way and soldiers abducting young children and forcing them at gun point to check for explosives or block bullets are both examples of human shields, they are in fact completely different acts. One action involves extreme courage and the other involves extreme cowardice. Its sort of like the difference between throwing yourself on a grenade to save your buddies and throwing a buddy on a grenade to save yourself.

All three cases above are examples of human shields. And we can see by the suspended sentence how serious the Israeli military takes using Palestinian children as human shields.

A far more serious crime is stealing a Palestinian credit card.

Let me get this straight. Israel invaded Palestinian territory, bombed, shelled and otherwise shot the crap out of it, killed all kinds of innocent civilians and you are upset that the Palestinians fired back. One group is even classified as being 'light'. So out of 770 causalities some 762 needed no first aid above a bandage. The vast majority (584) required no bandages, Israel would seem to have to acknowledge those same injuries in Gaza, that would put their causalities at over 1.4 million.

If Israel didn't want Hamas firing rockets and mortars at them, then they should have abided by the agreed terms of the ceasefire:

Don't forget the charts that show there was only an increase in 'goods' for one of those 6 months, a breach of the cease-fire by Israel all through that time period.

Yet, according to the Israeli press, as late as December 23rd, 4 days before Israel began her bombing campaign, Yuval Diskin, the head of the Israeli security service Shin Bet, “told the Israeli cabinet that Hamas is interested in continuing the truce, but wants to improve its terms.” Diskin explained that Hamas was requesting two things: an end to the blockade, and an Israeli ceasefire on the West Bank. Until Israel is willing to end the occupation and to grant the Palestinians their own state - a state with such dimensions and character that they do indeed have a life worth living, there will be no peace for either side in this tragic conflict...

The Causes of the Catastrophe in Gaza

I believe actions speak louder than words. Hamas's actions indicate they wanted a ceasefire as per the agreed terms. Israel's actions indicate they wanted a unilateral ceasefire and never had any intention to uphold their side of the ceasefire agreement. Israel never lifted the humanitarian aid blockade and the so called "ceasefire" never stopped Israel from continuing to attacking Gaza. By their ceasefire violating actions, Israel's leaders have indicated clearly that they have no interest in ending the humanitarian aid blockade or their attacks on the people of Gaza.

Here is where this conflict is now:

Israel's humanitarian aid blockade is in its 4th year and continues to cause a man made plague and famine conditions in Gaza. Israel's ongoing crime against humanity has made Gaza one of the poorest and most desperate places on the planet.

The level of attacks by both sides are about where they where before the ceasefire.

Regan was the Treasury Secretary. He is the one who cuts the banks loose that led to the SNL bailouts and several busted bubbles and socialist bail outs ever since.

Colpy spent the 80's snorting the Jew/CIA blow that bought those weapons to defend against the weapons Rumsfeld sold Saddam during the same time frame.
