TenPenny, what escaped your tunnel vision is that Lennon was NOT referring to Heaven and Hell in the religious sense. He wanted EQUALITY, regardless of merit/blame.

He was truly delusional.

BTW, how about refuting any of the other points I made - using his own words - about this hypocrite that only a communist can love?

Why would I waste any more of my time on you? You're incapable of understanding the concept of the song, incapable of understanding the concept of imagination.

You see the world in black and white: you and everyone else, who is a communist liberal nutcase. If anyone is delusional, it's you.

OK, IMAGINE the following myths:

Ronald Reagan, Pope John Paul II and Margaret Thatcher had nothing had NOTHING to do with the collapse of the Soviet Union.

George W. Bush's claim about W's of MD was a lie.

Valerie Plame and her husband were honest patriots, victimized by Dick Cheney.

Obama won the Presidency on merit.

Obama could fuction without a teleprompter.

The November 2nd demolition of Democrats was due to the fact that Americans were fooled by Republicans.

Going further back in history:

FDR ended the Great Depression.

WWII would have been won without the use of the Atomic Bomb.

Don't know for sure, but I IMAGINE John Lennon would have been OK with all of those.

Delusional??

TenPenny, if it is not delusional to imagine that there is no Heaven and Hell, why is it delusional to imagine that there is?

YukonJack you miss the point of his lyrics entirely.

'Imagine if we all lived for today, and our reasons for waging war were to vanish'. If you really think that it's not worthwhile to imagine a peaceful world, I pity you a bit. A lot actually.

You can't pity the pitiful Karrie so don't bother.

Any "Imagination" that is not rooted at least in a distant possibility of reality is a fairy-tale.When any of the idealists here can show me a period in human history that Lennon envisions, I will humbly aquiesce.

Until then I have no more problem to call Lennon and his acolytes delusional, that his acolytes have a problem of calling me the same.

Well, that settles it. We are hereby ordered to not use our imagination or write about imagining anything that is not likely to come true.

I was going to write a song about a woman whose mother was pregnant and still a virgin, and then she had a son who was killed but came back to life, but I figured that's too far from reality, and nobody would believe that.

Somebody already beat you to it and guess what? It's the best selling book in the world.

From the very start there was always hope. This is something you don't seem to understand or ironically able to imagine.

Carnage formed rebirth
A sickened lust of hatred
Damned to eternal plight
Obscene art alive through death
Crafted gore
Masterful slaughtering
Splatter soaked
Sinister demon incarnate
Maggots feast
Horrible putrid thing
One more piece
Scraped from bone born of decadence
Created from decay
Cold inncards used for torture
Prey sought by a twisted beast
Pray to hell no one survives
Black blood horror
Normalcy won't return
Guts of the dead
Severed hearts pulsate stagnant pus
Carves dying flesh
Brutal filth reeks of rot
Layered disgust
Undead pawn made to decimate
