The vast majority of the media in the USA has actively supported Mr. Obama and the Democrat party. They have made excuse after excuse for the failure of his policies, for the fact that he has indebted the USA for far more than his predecessors, that his policies have made unemployment worse, have led to massive corruption and that he is an abject failure as a leader.
Finally, even the ultra leftist liberal newspapers, such as the NY Times and the Washington Post are coming out and saying that this man is a disaster. He has done absolutely nothing except to blame G.W. Bush for everything.
He said that he would take a "bi-partisan approach" to governing. But, instead he has done nothing but attack the Republicans, denigrated them at every turn, refused to compromise on anything, and then to blame them for his failure to get most of his proposals through the US Senate.
The Democrats enjoy a 60-40 advantage in the U.S. Senate. They can vote down any filibuster, they can pass any legislation that they choose to pass, without a single Republican vote. So, why is it that bill after bill get bottled up in the Senate? It is because Democrats can not, and will not, come together and vote those bills through.
A leader actually works with both sides. Mr. Obama has refused adamantly to work with the Republicans at all. He has taken the approach that it is "My way or no way". That is NOT leadership, that is partisan politics of the worst sort.
The American people, as shown in poll after poll (from every source) are rejecting the policies of the Democrats. They are sick and tired of the totally ham fisted way that Mr. Obama and the Democrat leadership of the House and Senate have rammed through bills that have fundamentally changed how the US works, without even reading the bills in question.
The American people do not want Obama care. They do not want the US Government as the ONLY source for student loans. The do NOT want a totally and completely socialized government and society. Mr. Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have totally and completely misunderstood what the American people will accept.
The result will be a massive repudiation of the Democrats come the November election. I would not be at all surprised to see the Republicans take control of both the House and the Senate. They will then confront Mr. Obama with a stark choice.
He will either sign bills eliminating the "Health Care Reform", the "Financial Reform" and several other major bills, or he will have zero funding for most of the administrative agencies of government. They will simply cut off all funding for things such as the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, the White House, etc., until Mr. Obama agrees to sign the bills that eliminate all of the ultra socialistic programs that the American people simply do not want.
Keep in mind that the administration can not spend one cent, unless Congress authorizes that expenditure. So, Mr. Obama will be faces with a stark choice. Either he agrees to eliminate those hated programs, or he shuts down all non-essential aspects of the US Government. He will not be able to move funding from one agency to another, he will just have to furlough the employees, and shut down the offices.
You do not have a bi-partisan government by constantly belittling the other party, or by constantly blaming it for everything that is going wrong. You have bi-partisanship by compromising, working with the other party to get bills through that both sides can live with.
Mr. Obama and his leaders in the Congress chose to be a one party band. They rammed through proposal after proposal, without any Republican input at all. Now, they can reap the consequences of what they deliberately chose to do.
The American people do not like dictators. It is time that Mr. Obama learned that simple fact.
