Sweden calls itself a socialist state, and there are people in this world pretty that pretty much agree with that statement. The only true socialist states that I consider anti everything we believe in are Cuba, China, Laos, North Korea and Vietnam. They are truly Communist Socialist Nation's. Differences: Socialists are "biased" towards peaceful and incremental changes; communists promote proletarian revolution. Socialists are in favor of a strong and centralized state apparatus that owns and manages the economy; communists are opposed to any state apparatus at all. Obama: which garden path is he trying to lead such a diverse country as the U.S. We are a Democratic Republic today, 300+ million people will not accept what he is trying to do. No way can one compare Obama with Bush, Obama needs help from Pelosi to destroy America, Bush needed no help.

Again, the Swedish government owns a smaller percentage of tis country's GDP than the US government does in comparison. One reason for this is that though Sweden's taxes are high and so is government spending, little of it goes towards the actual acquisition of property. For example, money going towards school vouchers could be cashed in at a private school just as easily as at a state-owned school. If cashed at a private school, then it's not acquiring property, but merely paying for a service. In the US, part of the reason for the government owning such a large percentage of GDP has to do with the sheer amount of real estate and military equipment owned by the military. So, based on public ownership of property alone, we cannot accurately determine what state is more socialist.

Now again, granted pretty well everyone will agree that Sweden is a social-corporatist state, with some arguing that though barely, it is still technically a socialist state, while others will argue that social corporatism is such a watered down form of socialism that it's no longer deserving of the name. Either way though, it's clear that we cannot stereotype socialists that easily.

As for Obama, I'd describe his ideas as more of a neo-corporatism, not socialism.

''For the blind Zerobama worshippers the comments following the video would also be potent eye-openers.''

When the Dixie Chicks said anything about Bush they were attacked and their families were threatened. How lucky these Obama haters are that nobody attacks them.

The current President was handed a pile of dung that no other President has ever
faced. When Bush came to power there was money in the Bank and things were
good by the time the conservatives left office, Dick had all the money with his two
companies, Halliburton and Black water. Obama has faced challenges in the form
of ideological economics rather than dealing practically with the problems of the
day. Yes he has done a good job.

They really loved him up north, all that complaining was just so we wouldn't know how much.:lol::lol::lol:
Well consider all the porblems that he has been left to deal with - If theu US looked to Europe for Medi care - it would be a cheaper plan -

Obama's Plan reworks 20% of the Us economy

Problems with the health care are -the lawyers can still sue for 10's of millions -
No national prescription plan - US citzens get ripped on costs.
No tax on the gold plated health care plans - Unions were against that.

It could have been done in a better way. But it was time that the Us looked after those that cannot afford health care.

Now down to brass tacks - The US cannot afford to go on the way it has by borrowing - So tax increases and budget cuts are the only way out of the financial mess.

Obama's Dog Gets Own Jet Plane For Vacation Trip

Bill Smith, Editor: Talk about a "Dog Perks." I bet a lot of those rolled democrat "blue dogs" would have liked at least a plane ride. I get upset with Pelosi's abusive use of government airfare. Now, our friend Warner Todd Huston gives me weekend heartburn by reporting about BO, the "first dog," getting his own jet flight and arriving before the Obama on vacations. I guess he wanted an early start marking the property. Doesn't The Morning Sentinel know that the the White House's waste of money shuttling the first dog around the country is "Top Secret." I wonder, what the code name for the"dog flight" was? Anyone that finds out please let me know - hey, even if you have a recommended codename, also let me know! But be nice to BO, he has his papers in order, just too young to take any oaths yet.

No, we really weren't.

As of now, I'll give gim a C.. he should really do something about the healthcare situation of his country.. as well as the immigration issues.. What do you think?

Well you can't say he didn't do anything about Health Care. He pretty much did exactly what he wanted to do. Whether it was the right thing or not is debatable.

Immigration... I agree 100%

Well consider all the porblems that he has been left to deal with - If theu US looked to Europe for Medi care - it would be a cheaper plan -

One of the big misconceptions is that the poor did not have health care. The poor has the best health care around and do not pay one dime.

It was the people that could afford health care but just did not want to get a health care plan because they simply did not want to buy one. Obama's health care plan forces them to buy into a health care plan through existing health care providers such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Harvard Health.

Health Care is available to all. Even if you don't have a plan. The kicker was that if you did not have a plan and needed medical attention you will get treated...but you will get a bill in the mail... and you will be responsible for payment.

No tax on the gold plated health care plans - Unions were against that.

The Unions were against their health care plans being taxed but they did not neccessarily have the so called Gold Plated plans. Those gold plated plans will be taxed...just not the Union plans until what was it 2015? I may be wrong about that.

It could have been done in a better way. But it was time that the Us looked after those that cannot afford health care.

Again, the poor were covered. It was the people that could afford it and just didn't want to pay for it. Those people will now be forced to pay for it.

Now down to brass tacks - The US cannot afford to go on the way it has by borrowing - So tax increases and budget cuts are the only way out of the financial mess.

So true. Budget cuts for sure. There is so much garbage and pork and subsidies that is high time it gets cut. I'd be for tax increases that pay down the debt but through past experiences, we get taxed for one reason and the money does not neccessarily go to what the tax was originally for. Cut the heck out of the budget first, then talk taxes and pay down the debt.

We may have to cut President Obama a little slack (very little) because of people like this supporting him.

I read about that one a bit ago - My oh My - What a loser -

Using his mathematical laws of Topsy turvy - The Planet Earth will reverse poles - Total flip of the world from top to bottom due to the large populations in the Northern Hemisphere when compared to the population of the Southern Hemisphere.

If this does occur I would pray for Feb, 2011 as i will be in the Caribbean. Not much of a change in the weather then.
