I think that the US elections bring out the worst from all parties - I find scary the teabaggers and Sarah Palin and her new friend Glen beck

I would compare this rally on the day of this mans speech to be comparable to building a Mosque near Ground Zero - Utterly bad taste as to be completely disgusting - pure hate politics - and shameful that the Republicans are headed this way. These 2 among other are inciting hatred for ethnic minorities. The US has passed the point, i think a long time ago where rational discussion can be spoken to where it is all about rousing emotions and many are of the type that will reap and sow division between Americans. Sad to say.

Palin, Beck to rally on anniversary of Martin Luther King speech

WASHINGTON — U.S. Democrats are criticizing plans by Sarah Palin and conservative radio host Glenn Beck to hold a mass weekend rally in Washington on the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s famed “I have a dream” speech.

Probably is in bad taste, the people are mad and when they are mad pretty much anything goes. The Mosque thing is not about stopping anyone from worshiping any way they want, it is about some Muslims wanting to gloat over what they did.

Yes the Citizen is outraged - corruption, job losses decimating whole communities, newer subdivisions empty, fear of what is to come -
Then Beck and Plain and those take that fear and stoke it for thier own personal agenda -

The mid term elections are going to be a sweep for the Republicans or to lose by their actions-
The Party system in the US is distrusted by Dems and Repubs alike - Why - the corruption is systemic.

Now the Repubs could lose some critical elections if they keep stepping on their sexual organs.

So far they are doing just fine. The rally in Washington looked like it was a big success. This holds up, the Republicans should be back in November. Even with that massive majority the Democrats had they were stopped. Of course it would have been better if they were stopped before filling their pockets with stimulus money.

Well Ironsides Palin is a nutbar - I am sure she could almost see me from there - as in she is out there - Beck well he is another one as well -

All Polls show voters are disgusted, and i mean completely disgusted with both parties.

So If it was a Republican in the WH now - He would be facing the same outrage and the Dems would be riding to house and Senate majorities.

What need to be done is tax increases and spending cuts.

Any stimulus, a substantial part should go to the crumbling infrastructure.

Obama Care should stay but refined to include taxing those gold plated plans that many have -

Setting a cap on malpractice - Perhaps the Govt should set the Insurance companies on that to the sideline and run that

Medicaid fraud is rampant

Ear Marks should completely disappear - A straight up or down vote on a bill.

Military spending to be cut, bases to be closed -

Increases Taxes on income over 250 K

Sin taxes to go up -

And regarding Pork - The same would have occurred with a Republican in the WH.

We all are well aware of how each party has a number of friends that they both look after.

Living on the wrong side of the 49, my opinion doesn't count. However every one was p*ssed right off at Bush for involvement in Iraq, so now that Obama has ceased and desisted in Iraq, I would expect his rating to soar to 95+%. As for reducing spending, Goob, you bet, as for increasing taxes, Goob, people need jobs first and once they have the jobs and there are more people paying taxes, no need to raise taxes.:smile:

For anyone under 250,000 - no tax increases - Over that - i am sure they could get along fine.

But the US is in a financial mess that will take a decade to bring under control

Constant trade deficits, living on borrowed money can only go on so long.

What I find amazing is how Glen Beck and Sarah Palin really have any credibility - I understand Americans are mad as hell - But these 2 -
I am sure that before the Nov elections a number of Republicans are going to be stepping on their dicks

And yes I include dear Sarah -

Now you know my opinion of the Sarah and Glen due of Incitement & Hate - What is your opinion - jeuse to beck the nazi's won the war and they are evreywheres -

My parent told me at a young age - be careful of a reformed man who "Gets Religion" they are dangerous to all.

I meet a number of US Truckers that deliver to where i work - Average fellas and they have no time for either one - They are upset about a number of things and the number 1 is the out of control spending -

They know that hard times are coming - fast and hard - but they also know that they will endure, and work thru it.

Good thought Goober, but I really think for the tiny minority earning over $1/4 million, it would amount to p*ssing in the ocean.

How about a rumor going around that Sarah Palin may run for President in 2012. Heard it yesterday when some news people we ranking about how may people showed up at the Beck rally last weekend. Just wonder how far this backlash will go. Who knows what the future job outlook will become, it is going downhill now though.

And your opinion of Sarah is??

I have also read where the pundits are saying it will be a frsh face.

They mentioned the Gov of Texas as a high probability.

PS - Sarah can never outlive - I can see Russia from here - She in my opinion is dangerous - Both for what she stands for and how little she knows.

Goober, you are either incredibly gullible or willfully ignorant.

It was Tina Fey doing her impression of Sarah Palin who said "I can see Russia from my home". You swallowed it - along with other lefties - hook, line and sinker.

What Palin actually said was that one can see Russia from Alaska, which is entirely true.

If Obama managed to outlive his stupidity of "57 states", Palin will have no problem outliving the parody of an actress.

And Obama is far more dangerous, because he is already in power, because of what he does, and what he wants to do to his country coupled with how woefully little he knows.

Does Sarah has the ability & knowledge to be President??

She runs Obama wins again. I don't want Obama to win again.

I love her impressions as well

Later this year but next year if the economy starts to improve in a big way will be one significant factor.

What, exactly is so dangerous about Obama? These guys (presidents) don't make many decisions, they just take advice from their advisors, who are probably fairly smart.

Just look what Bush did to the country? Pissed on the constution, started an ilegal war, caused an economic meltdown, added trillions to the debt....etc etc etc.

He was the "decider" as well.

Imagine what that black president will do to the country.

Yeah - The extent of her knowledge on Foreign Policy. Wow - With her as pres we would have world peace in the 1 week, end to hunger in the 2nd week and disease eradicated in the 3rd week. Wonder what she would do for the next week, let alone the 3 years and 51 weeks to go. Guess she would hunt a lot.

Obama by himself, nothing. It is the advisors we have to get out, time for another set. :)
