It's just so sad that you just don't get it.

With an even more moronic opponent.

Dude, if you liked me, I would have to rethink who I am, then consider a shotgun facial.

Coming from you, that can only be taken as a compliment.

Are you going to acredit that to source you stole it from?
And you show yet again, you still don't get it.

Again, you just don't get it, but you sure could supply a quote where you got that idea from.
I found his source: http://www.cannabisculture.com/v2/content/stephen-harper-and-end-days-canada-we-know-it

A good thoughtful reply. Equating any Canadian politician with Mussolini is just ridiculous.
Mussolini: arrogant, aristocratic, bombastic, cruel, etc.
Sounds quite a bit like Martin to me.

I wonder how much the general population knows about any of these politicians. I think most of what we actually "know" is a matter of perception and we don't really know any more than they want us to know. As far as the financial situation is concerned I doubt if any of us really have a clue about it. Unless you have direct access to the books (and know how to read thema) what chance do we have? There are all kinds of numbers they can include of exclude depending on how it benefits them. I was always under the impression Chretien was probably one of the more honest prime ministers, but others think otherwise- who's right? Who knows?
And what was Shawinigate?
So I generally just stick to my first rule of thumb- they are ALL just a rotten bunch of lying cheating corrupt bastards with their snouts in the trough and their hands in my pockets.
Yup. When one is a guppie, it looks pretty much like they are piranhas.

I've heard the term often enough but never did delve into what it was all about. I don't generally pay too much attention to what happens east of the Rocks.

"Created a deficit of 56 billion and will add 170 billion to the debt by 2016."

I think you've been listening to S.J.P. for too long and I think your brain is becoming addlepated. You both keep yapping about one side of the equation. A figure like that be itself means absolutely nothing. To give you a fair analogy it's like saying you are a $100, 000 in debt while I am only $10 in debt- but failing to say you live in a $500 000 house while I live in a tent. If you are going to make comparisons you have to include ALL the figures and conditions. It's a totally different world now than it was 10 years ago. I hope guys both quit your B.S. soon- it's getting tedious.

The government started deficit-spending just before the crash. There was a rainy day fund. The government spent it all. And when the rain finally came, we had to spend what we didn't have. I'm not necessarily going to blame this or that party, but clearly Parliament failed to keep spending in check.

The Canadian Conservative Legacy

The Conservative party of Canada has been in power for years and they have only been able to get elected to a minority government.

What are your views on the accomplishments of the Conservatives and what legacy will they be known for?

Liberalman, I see in the news that Harper is giving the GG the golden hand shake.
Harper MUST BE manoeuvring to insure a new GG being that the present GG had some difficult moments on this last prorogation, THEY ACCORDING TO NEWS DID NOT SEE EYE TO EYE and she may have put the Conservatives on notice, that if another prorogation takes place she may have said to Harper, your day will be numbered, I have the power to fire you.

The present GG saved his ass, and she is the reason why Harper is still in office today, and for Harper, loyalty is second and opportunity in the quest of power comes first. I supposes this fit’s the Legacy report card. The sad part also is that this GG was not a money waist, for the tax payers.
Oh, and he may appoint his own choice for a new GG which apparently is unconstitutional ….. And that will be bad news for the Conservatives, to go counter to constitutional law of the country.

Since the 1960's the PM's have submitted one name to the Queen to be appointed GG. The Queen has never said no. So, in practice the PM appoints the GG.

Quite so. Just one more bit of proof that soc doesn't know what he is talking about.

We needed more proof?

Ruprecht is a boob. In fact I actually believe he is a Conservative, out maligning the Liberal party through his behaviour.

Seriously!!!

Soc, please be informed. GGs are appointed for five-year terms - as in ends in September.

I bet your "party" would like you to cease and desist with your peculiar form of support.

What happened JLM no answer?, or is Harper entitled to rule with a bias and undemocratic principles?
