Cautious, yes. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't trust them. To me there's a rational difference.

To me you are incredibly ignorant of Islam. And your trust is irrational and unwise.

It isn't the only religion that was under that impression. So?

Clancy writes about killing a lot. Arthur Conan Doyle wrote about killing a lot. So did Shakespeare. None were locked up as far as I know. I haven't seen anyone in Canada locked up for having this book in spite of having "hate speech" in it.

None of them told their readers to go out and kill. Bad analogy.

It is hate speech, and our cowardly government should ban it if they want to be equal in their censorship.

But my personal views, are of course to not ban it, but to also not ban people from criticizing it.

Given the evidence, it really isn't so much paranoia as it is an educated awareness.

I can't speak for Libertarian, but I don't. What i do take serious, is the way they interpret those stories and manipulate them to justify mass murder and conversion at the end of a sword.

I see Muslims in Calgary all the time. With their ninja masks and head scarfs, and towel turbans.

It's like a free circus 24/7. All we need now is for some Catholic priests to parade downtown in their getup and we have ourselves a free circus freak show.

Best "discussion" I've seen for a long time on a hot-wire topic and some excellent points and personal opinions are being allowed without too much in the way of
crude and rude.....

At one point reading the University's take on freedom of speech, I was concerned discussion and/or debate would not be allowed on the internet and it would be shut down.

Makes me realize how valuable this little method of communication is and when people come with open minds and share their opinions - entrenched or iffy - we
can only profit from it.

Do you realize how many people here would have been killed or imprisoned in other eras in other nations for what has been written here during the past few days?

I do to a strange degree. I've employed them, I associate with them, I have even exposed my sons to Islam, to remove the fear of the unknown.

I fully believe that if one is going to dislike something, they must come to that conclusion with all the facts. My sons do not know my feelings on Islam, their feelings will have to be of their own creation.

I have given them the tools to come to that conclusion with tact, reason and open critical thought.

Because in the end, I recognise my own feelings as irrational. But then again, I have suffered with a duality my whole life, but that's another story...:lol:

I'll comment on anyone's dress the way I see fit. If that makes me bigoted, so be it. I also dislike "gangster" outfits, does that make be bigoted? A gang-banger with baggy pants, a sideways hat, and a jersey, has as much validity to their dress as a Muslim does, and both look ridiculous.
