I also support the right for me to say someone else's beliefs are stupid. Or to debate them. Just like you have the right to say the same thing to me.
No not at all, but when you are sitting here defending one person who is insulting and back stabbing millions and making statements like "If I was a dictator I would round up all the brain dead morons from Universities, your game is strange act. is that easier to grasp?

Are you libertarian ( I mean the guy who calls himself that here)?
No, but if you post publicly, you should expect anyone to respond.
Body counts? I don't know any bodies. I know lotsa people.
Yes body counts.

You asked about holes in stereotypes. I offered, albeit sarcastically, that some stereotypes have merit. As in the fact that contemporary Islam is violent and have racked up a disproportionate body count in the name of a religion.

Oh we all grasp what you're spewing, it isn't hard, once you decipher the nonsensical tripe.

What you fail to grasp, though it's been explained a plethora of times now. No one is defending Coulter.

WE ARE DEFENDING FREE SPEECH.

I hope the silly use of uppercase letters will help you grasp that oh so simple fact, once and for all. Although I will not be holding my breath in hopes of.

If you were referring to me (I'm not sure), then yes, I'm a Libertarian. I'm a centrist though, but I have some left-wing and right-wing beliefs.

You seem to be intentionally misreading me. That was an off-hand joke of how if I ever wanted to be a dictator, the rank-and-file could easily be found at the universities. Because you have a majority of non-thinking students, who follow whatever their professor tells them.

These are the kinds of people a dictator loves.

:roll:Funny thing to say for someone who is supposed to be a libertarian. What happened to free speech?

I'm not saying don't respond. I'm saying that you shouldn't comment if you do not know much about Islam. Read the Qu'ran and see the bloodthirsty verses. And then you will understand why I trust no person who follows that book.

True. But my reply was to a specific person not to everyone. :)
Yes body counts.
I haven't ever killed anyone. You win, I guess.

You asked about holes in stereotypes.
Nope. I asked a certain individual if I had poked a hole in their stereotype.
I offered, albeit sarcastically, that some stereotypes have merit. As in the fact that contemporary Islam is violent and have racked up a disproportionate body count in the name of a religion.
And all us Injuns are drunkards. Yeah yeah. I get it.

Just razzing you. lol

There is some truth to that stereotype, and I suspect you know that.

Especially for people like Coulter, that way we can keep an eye on her, and counter her rhetoric with reasoned rebuttals.

I've come in contact with the book periodically. Also, the Bible, the Upanishads and Vedas, the Tao Te Ching, the Satanic Bible, etc. Of the ones I named named, all but the followers of the Tao Te Ching and the Satanic Bible have been known to have many violent elements. People get violent over politics, too. What you said is akin to saying Christians are puritans. There are some that are but so what?
I trust everyone until they give me reason not to.

Their books tell them they CAN kill disbelievers. That is enough for me to hate that religion, and be wary amongst anyone who says they believe and follow that.

If I followed a book that gave its followers the permission to kill people you don't like, wouldn't you be wary?

These people think they have the God given authority to massacre anyone who opposes their religion.

It is not a political ideology we are talking about here. It is a book of fairy stories that tells its believers to kill people who don't follow that book of fairy tales.

If anyone wrote a book like that in the modern time, they'd be locked away as a nutcase.

My reasoned rebuttal to her would be laughter, as it usually is. lol

Yep. But we as a Native community, and you're going to love this, have some culpability in this stereotype. ;-)

I know you know.
I know you know I know...

Mine would be much along the lines of...

YouTube - Ann Coulter, Canada, & Vietnam

Laughing at her isn't really reasoned. Making her looking like the idiot she is, is the best course of action.

Their books TELL THEM they CAN kill disbelievers. That enough is good for me to hate that religion, and be wary amongst anyone who says they believe and follow that.
So you think that they all follow the book literally? Must be interesting going through life as paranoid as you seem to be.

If I followed a book that had gave its followers the permission to kill people you don't like, wouldn't you be wary?
Cautious, yes. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't trust them. To me there's a rational difference.

These people think they have the God given authority to massacre anyone who opposes their religion.
It isn't the only religion that was under that impression. So?

It is not a political ideology we are talking about here. It is a book of fairy stories that tells its believers to kill people who don't follow that book of fairy tales.
So you must take their faerie stories as seriously as they do.

If anyone wrote a book like that in the modern time, they'd be locked away as a nutcase.
Clancy writes about killing a lot. Arthur Conan Doyle wrote about killing a lot. So did Shakespeare. None were locked up as far as I know. I haven't seen anyone in Canada locked up for having this book in spite of having "hate speech" in it.

I laugh at funny people. That's reasonable. She's a clown, a caricature of a real person. :D
