To be fair we have to consider exactly how deep the rot goes. No doubt Obama has been touched by it. Bush rolled in it. Loved it. It's a wonder he wasn't tried for treason, given his tendency to bankrupt the US. A godam psychopath IMO. Money protects.

Take a look at above doc. which is fairly revealing. Not the be all truth by any stretch, but a good start...

Obama was elected with 58% of the population voting for him.

His approval rating now is 46%.

Losing 12% of one's supporters is a success story only in the eyes of the permanenly blind worshippers.

Have you heard that he was referring to the "CORPS MEN" (for the idiots, it is pronounced "core men") not once, not twice but three times. Of course, as Commander-in-Chief, it is his prerogative to liken his fighting men to undertakers.

Remember the guffaw by the MSM and like-minded intellectuals, every time when GW Bush pronounced "nuclear" as "NUCULAR"? Where are the MSM and the like-minded intellectuals now?

This has happened hundreds of times already. Obama has made tons of gaffs but the media wont play them, yet every time Bush made the simplest of mistakes they ate it up. Yet another example of what I was saying, the media elect the president not the people.

Obama only has one problem. That is that he is essentially a nice guy and a good person despite being a lawyer. In politics nice guys finnish last.

Obama actually understands there is something beyond narrow party interests... it's called the Constitution and the country that it stands for.

After Bush and Cheney trying to do away with any controls on the executive branch America needed a President who would at least try and bridge the growing divide.

The last thing the Bamster wants is for someone to hold him to the limits of the constitution. (ie. health care)

Yes, let's bring back the good old days of Cheney and Bush and the literally volumes of signing statements being written by Addington to try and give the executive branch unlimited power.

There's a reason the Shrub left office with the lowest approval rating since Tricky Dick Nixon.

If Obama manages to hold the nation together for his first term at the very least he'll have succeeded in overcoming the complete chaos created by the dicksy twins.

Obama will leave office also with a low rating as did Bush senior ("read my lips, no more taxes) when he begins to tax the middle class. So far he has not kept one campaign promise.(NOT ONE) Hold him to the limits of his word.

Strange, isn't it that he is far more popular here than in the USA. It must be his charisma-----our pols are sorely lacking in any of that asset.

I wish there was a way we could transfer to one of your cabinet level position, he would get along lovely up there, small problem to build up to big boy stuff,

The problem is, he'd turn so far to the LEFT coming out of Ottawa that he'd end up in the North Atlantic. Come to think of it, that might not actually be a problem.

Well on this subject, I have two things to say.

1) Its a little early to be writing off Obama, just over a year after his inauguration, and especially considering the mess he inherited. I'm not saying he's done a stellar job but its a 4 year term, not a 15 month term.

2) Democratic leadership in congress is abyssmal. Pelosi et al have done sweet FA with their majority except jump around like chickens with their heads cut off. They have a lot of the resources to reform their agenda and drive it if they would actually DO that instead of letting themselves be derailed by every fly that gets in front of the train.

This should be the final nail.

Democrats to use reconciliation, so what is it?
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid confirmed today that he plans to use the "reconciliation process" to pass the final changes to the Senate's health care reform legislation. So... what the heck is it?
Reconciliation is a part of the federal budget process in which debate in the Senate is limited and only a simple majority of 51 votes is needed to pass a bill. Specifically, within the reconciliation process, floor time for debate in the Senate is limited to 20 hours and members can only debate the "conferenced" version — the one both the House and Senate have agreed to.

Did a Google on the topic:

Obama Rockets to Top of Poll on Global Leaders - World Public Opinion

http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5jOXgdP1BoxXRqTf4yf3BSFn2sa1Q

And here is one, by the polling company that time after time is the most accurate in predicting elections:

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...ministration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

And some liberal yahooes here are bad-mouthing Americans! Looks like Americans are a heck of a lot smarter than just about everybody else.

P.S. Just noticed that my second URL is way too old. Obama should be thrilled with what it shows.

We see his charisma, but we don't have to live with any of his policies, so of course he's more popular here.

We seem to choose people with reverse charisma - how else to explain the choices of party leaders here? Ignatieff? Harper?

OK the holy Book has a specification for a Kingdom as being 1500 miles by 1500 miles roughly. Are we trying to have one man deal with too many issues to think straight? What is the appropriate scale of territory?

You are referring to the Holy Book of Borg.
