In the summertime, furnace oil - without the dye to show it's taxed - is diesel fuel. In the winter, it's stove oil. Only the viscosity is different.

Also nowadays diesel engines with tubos may not have much carbon monoxide but remove the turbo and choking off the air intake increses the carbon monoxide output........look it up:roll:
