I agree that Trudeau is one of the worst Canadians of all time.. We seem to have a revival of a lot of really old threads around here.

Trudeau was the greatest Canadian. No one cares about some loser's made up list, this thread is a complete failure. Such a joke that people changed the topic to Avril Lavigne.

Based on what??????????? Fuddle Duddle??????? The Finger??????????

Not completely. Partly because it shows he's not a robotic douchebag like leaders nowadays catering to rich elites.

Three on the list meet the criteria, Olson, Homolka, Bernardo, the rest are just plain stupid. Perhaps Morgantaler has an evil streak, but that's debatable and Trudeau was arguably the worst politician, definitely an obnoxious buffoon.

Think what you like but Trudeau was respected all over the world, unlike Diefenbaker and his diefenbunker. I didn't particularly like Trudeau but he was hardly a buffoon.

*thinks to self*

Must resist temptation to draw a booger hanging from her nose!

I had a similar thought, but I'm not going to say what I was planning to draw with!

So, Doc, you'd wanna hear about the time I worked with Lavigne for a week, I'd imagine?

I sorta liked her music and thought she was a cute little pixie, then I met her, and was repulsed by her mall-rat narcissism, her cynical sneer at anyone else's initiative, and her petty, selfish, demanding nature.

Oh, and BTW, as a live performer - she sucks hard enough to pull the moon in to a closer orbit. Her band, and the sound guy's vocal processing, totally carry her.

Pangloss

I think she's taken the whole 'bitch' persona to heart, and she's too far gone now. The best stuff she ever did was stuff (mostly) written by Chantal Kreviazuk.

I think she should go back to her country singing, maybe she could rediscover whatever talent she had.

But more likely, she'll just be a pineapple decoration.

Well what you call a dignatary when passing through a town on the train gives the people standing on the platform, the finger? He was arrogant to the point of obnoxiousness.

He didn't do that. I was there. He gave the finger to a half dozen rowdies who had given him the finger.

That makes him look even worse, that was a reaction, I had at least credited him with an action. He just lowered himself to the level of the "rowdies". Prime Ministers are supposed to be under control and gracious at all times.

Strange, are there any Liberals in that list? If not it goes against my main contention that these guys are all tarred with the same brush regardless of what party they run for.

I can't stand Trudeau....I think he is one of the worst PMs in our history, I think he severely damaged the nation, perhaps beyond repair....

But he never murdered anyone.

Clifford Olsen, Bernardo, Holmolka.........Mark Lepine, and dammit, has anyone even mentioned Robert Picton??????

Celine Dion is merely insignificant......and slightly irritating...no, vastly irritating. :)

I view Olsen, Bernardo, Picton et al as animals. In my eyes they lost their humanity through their actions and should only be kept alive only to study and try to find a way to prevent their re-occurence. However I also don't think they should be on a "worst citizens" list either, because while their crimes are shocking to all and devastating to their victims, ultimately the scope of their impact is small, when you talk about a country with a population of 30+ million people.

Entertainers like Dion or Lavigne only annoy us if we let them: turn them off and no more issue.

Politicians are a different story: their actions in office dictate how their constituency is run and in the case of a PM it affects everyone in the nation. There is no question in my mind, that the worst of the bunch was Trudeau for a host of reasons that have been bandied around numerous times. He may have had charisma and press appeal but we're still living with the results of his actions today.
