Look, they elected a clown like Al Franken to the Senate. Bet next someday someone will nominated him for President. His credentials are failed comedian, failed Air America talk show host and far left smear merchant. This should serve as a lesson to all who vote straight party line without looking to see who is on the ballot.. You deserve what you get. Compared to most candidates out there, Sarah Palin does not look so bad, (politically speaking) betcha.

Al Franken?

Oh this guy?

The new face of liberalism!

She had that appeal and it scared the liberals.

The dems are absolutely petrified by her. She has stood-up for her constituents successfully enough that they have given her multiple mandates, she's taken stances on contentious issues like abortion rather than hiding and she is highly attractive.

You'll notice that the Dems spent a helluva lot of money on trashing Palin - that in itself is probably the biggest endorsement from the left right there.

''I thought she only transferred authority.''
She quit. Very unusual in politics. Her choice of course but a cop out. It is said there are too many scandals that she is running from.

See post #244.

She probably just got tired of the daily commute to the Governors office. :-|

"I don't know of anybody who was scared by Palin."

Obviously, you did not watch the MSNBC coverage of Sarah Palin's acceptance speech for Vice Presidency, last year. Rachel Madcow, the Butch, was totally ashen-faced with fright. So was the Jerk who had tingles up his leg whenever he saw the halfbreed, Chris Matthews.

Then, of course the inimitable Democratic hate-mongering smear-machine kicked into gear.

What they forgot to mention was that Sarah Palin had executive experience by having been a mayor and a Governor. She met payroll time after time.

Obama was never more than a community agitator, and a failed, chicken-hearted state senator who voted "PRESENT" more tiimes than anyone in history. Never had to meet a patroll, never managed anything in his life, the fact that with all the lovable American dog breeds he chose a Portugeese water dog, is a clear indication that he is not able or willing to see anything American in a favourable way.

They also never mentioned - or if they did it was only in a favourable way for the halfbreed - that Sarah Palin was married to an ordinary, but exceptionally accomplished man, while Obama was married to a pathetic America-hater, pear-shaped imitation of a female.

Oh, they were and STILL ARE plenty afraid of Palin.

If they were not, they would ignore her. But with their minions like that buck-toothed empty-suit, Letterman, in the media, they keep on trying.

Well, let them!

They did similar things to Nixon. Reagan. And especially GWB.

Stupid bastards never learn.

Travelling thru Minnesota, I will be torn: should I drive straight thru without spending a single penny in the economy of these morons, boycott them for their incredible stupidity of putting a pathetic clown like Franken in the U.S. Senate, or recognize that there are at least some reasonable people there who elected Michelle Bachmann?

Ten Penny, (I hope I spelleed your name correctly) when history will be written, it is cinch that Nixon WILL rate way ahead of Obama.

Anything Nixon did that was incorrect was for personal reasons.

Anything Obama is doing is incorrect and they are for the sole purpose of turning America into another Cuba.

You Democrats/liberals already have your creep, no need to rivive anyone. The pretender CREEP occupies the White House.

May be you believe in no electricity in your house, hence your reference to candle. And that is why you can't see properly in the ideological darkness you seem to prefer.

jack,
Your political views make you sound like a minion of Satan, prince of darkness. It is all you can see out there in the wasteland of politics. Demons own both the Dems and the Reps. You are just a bill board for one squad of the team.

''pathetic clown like Franken''

LOL! We elected a bigger clown in Tim Pawlenty as governor. The state has a huge deficit and he raised taxes to pay for a new baseball stadium for billionaire Carl Pohlad. He also demanded a new football stadiums for the Gophers and also wants another stadium for the Vikings. The SOB likes to raise taxes in order to finance projects that benefit the wealthy but they screw up everyone else.

Too bad we can't apply Shaira law on that thief.

Cliffy, I am sorry to have given you more credit in the past, but it is plain to see that you decided to subscribe to the school of liberal idiocy sponsored and taught by SirJosephPorter.

With this post you proved that you graduated with honours.

That's funny. I can see the slogan now:

Palin - a Nixon for 2012.

Let's revive CREEP!!!

Hey - can you hold your hand over a candle until the flesh starts to burn?

Yes, I remember the CREEP, TenPenny, I was living in USA at that time. I also watched the subsequent impeachment hearings.

The committee was actually supposed to be CRP, Committee to Reelect the President. Nixon opponent turned it into CREEP (perhaps a more appropriate acronym than CRP).

Incidentally, I understand there have been some attempts to ban me while I was away. Well they will have to try harder, I suppose. I am flattered that some posters find my arguments so compelling, so unanswerable that the only way they can refute my arguments is try to get me banned.

Well, try harder, fellows.

And did I read on another thread that Talloola had left? She will be sorely missed.
