''it is phony, the stuff of campaign commercials. ''

Bush and his Log Cabin sweetheart Jeff Gannon ring a bell?

Yup! Seems to me Bush was accused of the same thing. When was the last time there was a real open Town Hall meeting? Certainly not in the last ten years.

Obama reminds me of a mangy mongrel that chases cars and has no idea why.

Well, the cur caught up with the car! The only thing he can do is chew on the tires until the car is totally disabled. Looks like he is succeeding with flying colours!

Until and unless he knows how to fix flats, I will keep on picking on him.

But O'Bama is supposed to be better than Bush; now you're telling me they're cut from the same cloth. Palin in 2012, I know she will be different because she ain't got a wiener-betweener.

Hey, I watched Sarah Palin on the news tonight and I'll make a prediction. She will not and I repeat not be President in 2013. But of course any one with any wisdom could figure that out long before now. Anyone who goes to Washington and charges up $150,000 worth of wearing apparel before they are anyone in Washington - at taxpayers expense, is committing political suicide as the electorate won't stand for that sort of thing and rightfully so. In her case she's even stupider than she would be otherwise because as Governor of Alaska she undoubtedly has a whole closet full of apparet that would be suitable for any occasion. To make a long story short if you are that friggin' dumb and uncaring you won't make president.

I'm curious as to whether or not you have a clue what you are talking about.

The money she spent on clothes was from the party, not the taxpayers.
Furthermore, it was the party's idea to get her to renew her wardrobe, so that she fit whatever image campaign managers decided she should look like. Sure, she blew it big time, but the campaign people are the ones who told her to do it.

I THINK Cliff cannot stand either one of them. I think.

Yes, we all want Palin to run in 2012 -- she may have Jindal or Sanford as running mate. What better way is there to guarantee another Dem victory??

What the heck, our kids and generations thereafter may as well pay down the debt Obama incurred. No matter who wins in 2012, the debt will be there. Won't effect us to much.

I think I'd be inclined to go a little slow. Maybe give Obama a couple more years to see what he can do before getting too rambunctious about ensuring a 2012 victory for the Dems.

If all of us in Nor Am aren't going to the polls to pick an overlord for the PM and Pres before 2011 we'll be lucky.

Bottom line is that if he fails, it is because he failed to fix the mess created by Bush. Everybody is well aware of that.

You're forgetting that the electorate has a very short memory, that and the notion that the Reps will air all kinds of attack ads (come election time) that replay all of the promises that Obama made.

No question about this Gopher, Obama must hit it outta the park if he wants to have any kind of second run. Based on your posts to date, it seems that you've already given-up on Obama and are makiing excuses for him far in advance.
