Alley, you mentioned message. Which message? I haven't seen one yet that matches the one that's hundreds of years older than any in the Bible. And it is unmistakeable, concise, and quite lucid.

Because I have had my own revelations.

I have a friend who was a minister, had a church and did all that ministerial stuff. One day he had a near death experience and he had a conversation with god. Guess what god told him. Religion, the bible and all that stuff was just a bunch of BS made up by people and that his whole life up to that point had been a lie. He never went back to his church.

I told him he was a chicken chyt. He had an obligation to his congregation to go back there and tell them the truth.

It doesn't make sense to me why God would have a conversation with him, and confirm to this one human that one of the most profound faiths is obsolete, without giving him some new, equally powerful revelation of what is the right "way" to God.

It's simple, Mr.Tax; the Bible says this god made man in his own image. "Man", "his"; see? The way I see it, gods are "its" - bits of ideas spewed onto pages in books.

The way I see it is that life comes from the feminine, so god must be feminine, but it takes both male and female energy to create life, so, god must be a hermaphrodite. In order to create the universe than, god would have had to have knocked itself up.

The simple message is this:

Don't look for a path to God and paradise because there is no path. Nothing but a big wide open door. The door is Jesus Christ, his only unique son, your brother. Walk through the door and receive eternal life, not to mention victory over every adversity you face.

It really is that simple.

It is all around you but you are blinded by dogma and prejudice. I have been trying to get through to you for almost a year but you keep arguing semantics.
Many have seen the light, not just him.

Scientists claim to create human sperm

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

LONDON — British scientists claimed Wednesday to have created human sperm from stem cells but other experts questioned their data.
Researchers at Newcastle University and the NorthEast England Stem Cell Institute say they used a new technique to derive what they described as sperm cells from embryonic stem cells. Stem cells have the potential to become any cell in the body.

Ah. Basically it makes about the same amount of sense. Belief in a myth as opposed to belief in a dead man (assuming he existed in the first place). I'll stick with the golden rule idea and that way I can give gay people the same rights as I give straight people sans the sillybook.

What is all around me? God? Evidence?

I know God is around me cuz he's omnipresent, but he's around the computer, he's not THE computer. Since I subscribe to the biblical principle that he's theistic, I cannot logically at the same time subscribe to the notion that he's pantheistic.

Evidence all around me? I already knew that since childhood! It was quite evident to me from a young age that the beautiful world around me came from a creator, and that I had come from him.

Yeah, the golden rule. No one is denying this. But living your life basically good doesn't get you to God, assuming he exists of course.

Semantics! I'm talking about truth, not dogma. I realize that it must be a bit of a shock to try to grasp the concept that your whole life has been a lie, but you will eventually get over it.

This might entertain and amuse some of you. Others of course will consider it blasphemous. And I suppose it is, if you take religion too seriously. But a deity who can make ridiculous-looking critters like giraffes and pesky nuisances like mosquitoes has gotta have a sense of humour, perverse though it may be.

Ah. I can't understand why anyone would want to. Going by all the destruction this god thing performed in the Bible, the crappy job of inventing everything, and the even crappier job of managing everything, I'll pass. But I was born good and I intend on staying that way. According to my Dad, I am going to travel over the Owl Bridge one day. :) He says there are many spirits on the other side that welcome people. I have no need, therefore, of any heaven. :D

lol Les'll love that (I will have to compensate for letting him know he's obsolete and redundant with the synthetic polywog thing). Thank you. HUgs

I have seen this guy before but the last episode is the most priceless. He really cuts to the chase on that one.

Oh wow! Hugs from the inimitable and feisty Anna Gilbert! My life is complete. You're the kind of person I wish I knew in real life, I like your style and attitude: take no prisoners, take no crap, damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead. You remind me of my wife, the strongest, smartest, sanest woman I've ever met, I wish I could get her on here, but she doesn't seem to be interested. And where the Hell is Les anyway? You've been posting a lot lately and he hasn't. Is he away, or are you just hogging the keyboard? ;-)
