JLM good day to you,

How can you know it to be true, if you can’t prove it?

It's not a matter for me to prove- I'm tapped into various networks who have people whose job it is to prove it. They had an hour long special on CBC tonight laying out all Michael's little indiscretions and transgressions. So as long as I'm not saying anything worse about him than the experts do I think I'm in the clear. I don't think I have quite enough money to worry about being sued.:lol::lol::lol:

Actually, he isn't wrong. Nothing was ever proven so in legal terms, he's as innocent as you or I. And you were libelling him (in legal terms).

The people from whom I'm getting the information and who are broadcasting it on T.V. have much more money than I do, so once they've been sucessfully sued then I guess that's the time for me to start worrying..............

It was never demonstrated that he did any such thing. The first case was settled out of court (for about $3 million I think) and the details didn't become public as far as I know. The whole thing struck me as greedy parents trying to exploit a situation for financial gain. In the second he was acquitted. What you're saying is actionable; it's libel.

Update- They were demonstrating it on CBC at 7PM tonight for an hour. IF one of my grandkids described blotches and blemishes on a man's penis and examination bore it out, that would be good enough for me.

I remember him as a kid, very cute talented black kid, jackson five, and he being the youngest and the best, but it all went downhill from there, he had to show everyone how to run away from 'who' you are, turn into a 'clown, what a failure he was at life, didn't seem to 'get it', too late now, very sad and pitiful.
He has looked dead for the past 20 years, now he can play the part for real.

Farah Fawcett was a good person, didn't deserve this, died too young, so sad.

Every bit of what you say is true, Talloola. I know sometimes I may say bad things about people without absolute scientific proof like I don't have regarding Clifford Olson or Paul Bernardo, but if you carefully weigh and question what you see, hear, read, watch on the news, you're gonna be right 99% of the time and as far as the other 1% goes- TOUGH.....my philosophy is you have to take a stand in life and taking a stand involves risk. Just like if you see a man bleeding on the street and you help him, there is a chance you could get HepC or H.I.V., but you don't leave him there to die. That's life. Now I'm wandering.

When I fell asleep last nite I was thinking about Michael, and the first thing that popped into my mind when I opened my eyes this morning was "the is the first full day without MJ...no comeback tour...just memories."

The only other times I remember experiencing something like this was on 911, and when my cat died. Its so sad that MJ is gone.

The King of Pop (Farewell)
Stand and hear the silence before the whole world calls
Out in tears of sadness when a golden talent falls
From early years of glory you made the whole world sing
You transformed right before us a young man to a king.

Don’t stand back in the shadows
Amplify your praise
Rock the world with every song
The King of pop has made.

Forget the darkest hours their demons laid to rest
We’ll lay a simple white rose softly on your chest
In thanks for what you’ve given and for the work you’ve done
Your reign is far from over your memories just begun

Rest easy now dear Michael and sleep without your pain
Generations will remember you over and again
I hope your dream is granted and you’ve found what you’ve lost
A childhood free from inner pain, free and at no cost.

RIP Michael

This song always touched my soul. Not sayin' I'm christian or anything.

If they're listening, may you sing with the angels Michael.

I know your life
On earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren't afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain

Go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son

Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered round your grave to grieve
I wish I could see the angels faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing

Go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son

Good enough to condemn the man for all time as a child molester? Maybe the kid just saw MJ stepping out of the shower. Knowing what a man's penis looks like doesn't mean the man molested the kid. Children are notoriously unreliable witnesses and easy to lead. I'm not defending MJ, I think he was pretty much a useless twit in his later years and never got past being about 14 years old, but you don't have proof, all you've got is innuendo and rumour. That's not good enough to condemn a man on a charge as serious as that.

There is a reason juries are not allowed to watch the news. The news is a fancy name for hearsay and their standards of evidence are just substandard. I mean, why bother even holding trials? We should just ask JLM to rub his magic crystal cube: the tv. "It was on TV, it must be true!"

How would one describe somebody with vitiligo? Blotched and blemished. The penis comment means less than nothing. Any person with half a clue could predict this.

It's not friggini' rocket science there, Nifflemir. Of course juries have to be held to a higher standard than the public, my opinion doesn't matter a damn except to me and personal decisions I would make- my opinion is not going to get the guy locked up in jail. My opinions are only based on people who have been paid big $ to investigate Michael Jackson, some of which are MY bucks. But hey, this post of yours is about the same standard as your other posts....................dumb.

Maybe not, I didn't condemn him on my own hook.

I guess I'm too old to understand all the fuss about the death a "pop star" who abused everyone and everything around him. Michael Jackson earned(if that is the right word)over a billion dollars in his life. He brought home money by the wheelbarrow load. Unfortunately, he spent money with a pitch fork.
I could never watch Jackson for more than a minute or two. All the hip thrusting and crotch grabbing seemed obscene to me, not because of any religious or puritan objections but because I thought it was an insult to most of his fans who seemed to be teeny-boppers or young teens. There must be better things to do than mourn the passing of this jerk.

That comment in and of itself is a real indictment of today's society more than anything else... The fact that the globe has come to a screeching stop to pay homage to this guy's contributions to the arts but is ominously quiet about the 'controversy' surrounding his activities with minors.

The globe has not come to any screeching stop. What contributions? The "moon walk"?

Your logic would convict anyone who ever used a public change room.

I'm not convinced either way Jackson was a child molestor. He was a very strange person. His motivations appear to be related to trying to regain a lost childhood and his version of altruistic kindness. Then again, that could all be cover for predatorial behavior.

Jackson settled out of court and was never convicted. Now that Jackson is dead, the out of court settlement gag orders no longer apply. His alleged victims can say what they want. Since the tabloids will pay big coin for their stories, I'm sure we'll hear more allegations...

"Your logic would convict anyone who ever used a public change room."- Technically you are probably right, but like I said before I don't need evidence beyond a reasonable doubt- my grandchildren wouldn't be sleeping with him- would yours?
