Ahoy Darkbeaver.

I've lost my Darkbeaver Glossary 2nd edition, so I'm forced to look up what other people think those words "cannibinoid" and "endocannibinoid" mean.

I'm trying to find our video of a cutoff pike's head rolling its eyes while it clamps down on a doobie. But that's not half as exciting as seeing bluegill sunnies off the side of the dock spitting out long pieces of sphagetti we dumped off the dock into the water because someone spilled a whole box of salt into the pot.

Stocking the pond? That's nirvana. Wish I were there. Hope that takes your mind off the knee troubles.

:)

Very nice to hear from you Jim. I'll post some photos when I get the fish.
I wasn't pulling your leg about the cannibinoids, they are fundemental to life. That video sounds like real stoner stuff, I'm interested.

Let me know when they're big enough to eat.

Thanks.

I don't like pot, but, hash browns be a horse of a different colour, or breed, or something. All the good stuff and no coughing.

:flower:far out.

I can't believe the author started a thread about hating a particular group.

We all know it would be wrong to say "I hate Asians, there I said it!"

So why do brush off comments about other groups:

I hate pot smokers.
I hate the homeless.
I hate welfare bums.
I hate senior citizens.
I hate crack heads.
I hate the police.
I hate politicians.
I hate Americans.
I hate gay people.
I hate sex offenders.
I hate the judges.
I hate the media.
etc.

These are things I hear coworkers and others around me say quite often. Hate is a powerful word, why can't we call attention to hating actions not people?

Just a smoky little thought. Peace man. :color:

Yep, like the Good Book says, hate the sin but love the sinner.

People really don't 'think' when they say "I hate this and I hate that", as it has
just become an expression, with the word hate, to explain. Perhaps that word
should be tossed into the middle of the floor and talked about, so that people could
really understand what they are saying, and realize the true meaning, then they
would say " Well, I didn't really mean 'hate', I just don't agree with 'whatever'., and
that would be more acceptable.

Yep, many people forget there is two sides to a conversation - talking and LISTENING. Just the number of cell phones around these days tells you how much people want to talk.

uh huh, and if we could put all of those words in a 'quality' meter, and have it
spit out the real valuable comments, we wouldn't need a very large container to
catch them.

No, I don't think it's a place I'd look to find out how to put a man on Jupiter.

or, how to clean a house, or wash a car, or mow a lawn, or or or ;-), but they
can sure flap their yaps, and spend money, and gossip, and party and and etc.

From what I hear too much talking on the cell phone can give a person brain cancer, you'd think that would be good enough reason for them to back off a little. But then again if you have no brains, no reason to worry I guess. (I pack mine in my pocket sometimes, but don't turn it on unless I have to use it) I always figure MY phones are for MY convenience.

We have a cell phone for 'immergency' use, and the odd call inbetween, and I
only have a basic contract with telus, 3 free calls a month, and I have to pay
for all the others, keeps me 'off' the phone, unless it's really necessary, and I'm
not a phone person anyway, just make calls for a reason, not to jabber, unless
my youngest daughter calls me, cause she likes to jabber.;-)

The image I have of pot smokers is from college - guys sitting around in their underwear, playing video games, inhaling through toilet paper tubes and eating pop tarts all day long.

That would be enough to turn anybody off. In the old days we used to sit around coffee shops and discuss philosophy and politics. We thought we sounded pretty smart but we could have been delusional.
