In the human family, the genetic material of two combines as one in a child formed through sexual reproduction. Did Jesus have something else in mind when he declared, "and the two will become one flesh"?

"In humans all reproduction is sexual. It involves joining together haploid gamete cells from each parent with half the normal number of chromosomes to make a new cell containing both parents' genetic material. This is a diploid zygote.

The cells from each parent that combine to form the zygote are called gametes. In humans, the male gamete is called sperm, and the female gamete is called an egg. When the gametes join they form a cell called a zygote. Human sperm and eggs contain 23 chromosomes. Human zygotes contain 46 chromosomes." BBC - GCSE Bitesize: Formation of sex cells

Is it possible for two male gametes or two female gametes to join together and become one flesh?

No, first the easter bunny has to poop the eggs out, THEN the egg hunt can begin.
That doesn't sound like it is an egg that is left behind.

A husband will obey a wife, a husband will fight for a wife. A wife can make a husband feel sorry, for all intensive purposes they are one flesh.

No, I am not confused about Christ. He's a mostly mythological hero character whose story has much in common with other stories about other such characters, and there almost certainly was a charismatic apocalyptic Jewish preacher in first century Palestine whose reality is the core of the myth. But resurrected Son o' God, miracle worker, redeemer, saviour? No, that's the mythological part.

Of course Jesus Christ is not any mythology; he is true and real. But there is much enthusiasm about him, so that some considered him as son of God, while he called himself a strange title: son of man; and others claimed he is God Himself, which is the idolatry itself. Moreover, many Christians erected statues (idols) of the Christ and his mother in their homes and churches.

Moses is true and real: he was sent by God and he led people in their exodus out of Egypt.
Jesus is true and real: he brought about the shifting of the revelation and message to other peoples, whom they call the Gentiles, and it became no longer confined to the Children of Israel.
Mohammed is true, and he led his nation to be united and embracing the message of monotheism, and also the complete shifting of the message from Isaac's Children to Ishmael's Children, so the revelation was curtailed completely and is not longer for the Children of Israel.
That is why their hatred and enmity to both Jesus and Mohammed.

A husband will obey a wife, a husband will fight for a wife. A wife can make a husband feel sorry, for all intensive purposes they are one flesh.

Man (and woman) should obey parents; wife obeys husband; husband should live with her amicably and kindly. They should not betray each other.

The last I heard was that Jesus is an amalgamation of a few people named "Yeshua" all of whom have been dead for a few centuries now along with Moses and Mohammad.
THE 'christ", described in the Bible, sounds more like Gandalf from LOTR than a real person. (I'm looking to see if you have huge, furry feet).

Jesus Christ and Mohammed are true and real just like Moses; eventhoug the atheist dislike it, and insist. No amalgam and not combination and not anything else.
These three major prophets led to the appearance of large number of their followers.

Why would anyone be confused. The word means anointed one. Seems simple enough.

It is simple, LL. Paradoxically and sadly, it is the "wise" and "intelligent" who miss it.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: 'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." (1 Corinthians 1:18-19 NIV)

lol Wisdom is the practise of knowing how to use intelligence to gain the best results.

Religions like people to be uninformed, unintelligent, and ignorant.

Makes as much sense as atheists and followers of islam having a philosophical discussion about the bible...
That y'all don't see the irony speaks volumes........
I'm not a y'all. I'm just me popping into CC for fun. =) There's loads of fun here, especially if you can ignore troglodytes such as BL.

Deceit is at the heart of it, DS. It is self-deception and/or dishonesty with others.
