Dead Giveaway The 35 Page Dossier Was A Hoax? The British Don't Use "Confidential," They use "Official"

The alleged origination of a British agent as the source can be considered a “trap for the unwary,” which would easily demonstrate the documentation was an obvious forgery because the UK does not use the “Confidential” designation, although US intelligence agencies do. In the US, classified information is designated as “Confidential”, “Secret” and “Top Secret” (along with a whole host of other designations for more highly sensitive information such as nuclear weapons designs). The British use “Official”, “Secret” and “Top Secret”. Anyone who checked on the story would instantly recognize this defect if they knew (or discovered) anything about British classification schemes, but if someone didn’t check they’d simply assume the British uses the same classification designations as the US.

He was doing so well, he looked serious, spoke well, and then Yikes!

Bonkers. He's madder than Charlie Manson!

He reacted as if there really is something on him. If there wasn't, he would have: laughed it off/shrugged it off/ignored it and the story would be more-or-less still born. Instead the ferocuous nature of his attack tells me that he is a guilty as sin. We've been here before, with Rob Ford.

Lets say they are fake, why not go along and still answer a question? Satirical shows still get politicians to answer questions even though they are totally fake and just want to get laughs.

I laughed for a couple of minutes after watching Trump. For me, the big question is, will the news organizations learn from this? Not about Trump specifically, but reporting news generally. Be honest. Tell the truth. Some of these television organizations are "The National Enquirer on the air."

If you want to be a top drawer, respected news agency, take the high road. Be honest.

Given the Dumpster's personality the accusations detailing the "golden shower" are entirely believable. The man who went out of his way to convince others that Obama was not born in the USA is now getting paid back in spades. Poetic justice is so much fun.

Myself and others might agree with you except that none of the allegations is proving to be true. Only the news orgs have egg on their faces.

Trump is going to teach someone to "be honest ... tell the truth"

You're kidding, right?

... Yet. This looks like Rob Ford all over again.

Let's see. What might prompt the Russians to leak their video ... Perhaps an armoured brigade, just deployed to Poland, that isn't recalled when he becomes President? Sanctions that aren't lifted? Something more secret?

You have the excuse & ability to justify anything right there. ;)

You have lost all credibility.

The ferocity and bluster with which Trump has denied all if this suggests that he is seriously guilty.
Wait for it ... a day, a month, maybe even a whole year.

I didn't say Trump specifically, but about news generally. Go back and read what I wrote. I said that the news has to be honest and up front period.

Not that I am behind any of the big news conglomerates... but what it seems to me is the rights and freedoms of Americans is beginning to be infringed on... first to go is freedom of speech. As the President of the "free world" ... deciding who gets what information and how... and only under his terms is the mark of dictatorship.

If he had a problem with past reporting by CNN... prove it wrong... sue like the litigious man he is... laugh it off so that people know you give zero credit to it... but punishing a news group for not saying what you want them to say will shape our news for years to come for the worse, making it even more of a marketing message from the head of office... and even less about the truth.

Hadn't he just answered a question by another CNN reporter?
