With charges possible over gas plant emails,

The gas-plant scandal is proving to be hard for Kathleen Wynne to outrun.

The broad strokes of the Thursday revelations that provincial police are investigating possible breach of trust charges against a senior aide to former premier Dalton McGuinty should not be that surprising to anyone who has paid attention to the file over the past year.

Testimony before ongoing justice committee hearings, and a report from the information and privacy commissioner, have made it clear that some of Mr. McGuinty’s closest advisors, including former chief of staff David Livingston, went to considerable effort to ensure that there was no digital record of their communications, the better to frustrate efforts by opposition MPPs to find out which Liberals knew what — and when — about cancellation costs that were five times higher than they had first stated publicly.

About or approaching a billion. Illegal destruction of Govt documents. Nothing found. Really, no one talks about it.

No doubt McGuilty is hiding stuff - like why did construction go on for so long and how much did the Sunrise blow and the Mississauga train wreck sour opinion on gas plants?

Never going to happen, at least not for a long, long time. By the time we get details on things, we're two scandals into the future. Is it any wonder that the electorate is so deflated?
Funny how they keep overlooking the manipulation of Ontario Hydro....

Politics of money, eh....

You should see the rejects!

The Liberals are obviously nearing their expiry date, but the fact that the PC have not been able to take over sooner really seems to be an indictment against Hudak for being a terrible leader. Anyone with even the slightest bit of ability to instill trust in people should be able to clean up.

I honestly think there is a chance that the Liberals might win the next election. Then the PC will be forced to make a change and get someone electible at the helm.
