Northern Ontario,
I've had cataract surgery and detached retina in both eyes at different times of course over the years .......all covered by OHIP + travel allowance "mileage" because I live way up north.... so I ain't complaining.
Even one time It just happened to coincide with a music festival I was planning to go to so I sure ain't complaining!!!

I have Medicare through NB, and then Blue Cross through work - though the BX coverage isn't exactly great compared to what's out there and what other companies cover. Unfortunately all provinces are 'gutting' medicare, because the provinces keep ignoring the realities of the costs and won't adapt to change in times, and they cut in the wrong areas.
We have SunLife. My company provides a generous package and I have increased coverage in some areas by paying a bit with a payroll deduction. Most of these insurance companies have many levels of packages depending on what your employer wants to pay for.

SunLife is pretty good around here as well; one of the better companies really.

You'd think my employer, being Health based, would get a good company but... *shrug*

Because you think you get it, but you don't.

Because you think you can tell me how I am/what I feel, etc.

Again, I know from personal experience you CAN miss something, even if you never had it before.

I remember the exact day and time, too, when the first instance of that hit me.

So no, you're absolutely, totally wrong.
The first day you had a desire. A wish.

Sorry pum'kin, it wasn't just a 'desire' or 'wish', it was knowing I was missing something. And you have NO idea how that feels.

But I can live and be okay with who I am and from time to time have the dysphoria and deal with it.

Trans people usually can't. Which is WHY the suicides, the mental problems of self harm. Throw in the reaction of assholes in society and yeah, I will stick up for them because I know they're people too just trying to live and be.

It's only a wish or desire. Nothing more nothing less.
