My thoughts after yesterday are that Harper will win next year. Trudeau shoots himself in the foot every chance he gets and no one really cares much for Mulcair. Im no Conservative or Harper fan but right now and for the forseeable future he is the strongest and best looking option among the federal leaders.

I'd say it depends on how things work out in Iraq War III. If it quagmires, then the Liberals will look smarter than the Conservatives. If things tidy up nicely over there, then Harper will be deemed to have been right.

That's a very good question RCS. When considering PM Harper,s marketability I'm sure his experience certainly should be a mater of serious plumbing. However since there are many stupid Canadians responsible for his initial selection and the following readoption I se no problem with him being being elected again. What we need now is a strong leader with conviction experience and the best of intentions and policies with respect to his favourite country, whichever that may be. Except for the constant war we will do OK. Treudough is there in the unlikely case that the Canadian public gets smart and dumps the bum. I don't see how Canada can lose this election. All the candidates are splendid patriotic servants. What could possibly go wrong?
