Why Should Anyone "Respect" the Law?

The left only defends the law when it suits them. Otherwise protesters would go home when ordered by the court. But since they are plainly above mere mortal law they interrupt people legally earning a living.

You are only half correct - remember my posts and links to activities of ultra right wingers who refused to disperse and who pointed lethal weapons in violation of the law in Nevada in their defense of racist Cliven Bundy.

I respect laws because they where legislated, debated, and won a majority of votes from a elected body of representatives, that I had the opportunity to participate in selecting. Police are just doing their jobs.

I can understand why you would ask this question if you lived in a miserable dictatorship, where one dictator chose for everyone. But we don't.

We live in a society where you have the right to walk into the parliament and voice you're opinions peacefully. In many countries you would be shot on sight for doing that.

Why do you, not respect the laws?

Not respecting the laws in this country is like not respecting the majority.

You can always voice you're opinion peacefully, or vote with you're feet and move to a dictatorship.

The left-wingers think I'm too far right and the right-wingers think I'm a lefty. What does that prove? Ideologues are idiots.
agreed
me too it's becoming beyond tiresome...what ever happened to "balance"...

on the other hand since it is a continuum there have to be those extremes and the further you go to either end the narrower the thought process has to be.....

nah I didn't look it up, I just know people twist it according to their own agenda. It is frequently attributed it to Churchill but anyone who knows anything about Churchill historically knows he was all over the board politically, he flipped back and forth according to what was needed politically at the time...meaning he was balanced...

that phrase indicates a mind set unable to respond to the need of the time...obviously not his problem

I seem to remember Ralph Klein saying about the NDP (or perhaps it was the media...I can't remember and I'm paraphrasing), if I walked on water they would say I can't swim. That seems to be a common problem amongst some here.

lmfao...yeah Walter, that is exactly what I was thinking too...when one runs at another in an attempt to knife them by implying stupidity and gets knifed instead, it's an interesting result, no?

don't worry the little mob will soon turn on you, they are funny that way this little crew in here...fascinating to watch and I enjoy the game as do a few others that are considered leftards or different from the core posters in here

I'll await another red from you for this one too

self righteous seems to be what the little crew peg me as when they get slammed back...akin to foot stomping, I find it interesting, it began with some PMs and has grown. ;-)
