Canadas economy is underperforming compared to what standard of economic performance? As far as I can tell most economies are performing about as well as can be expected given the horrible global economic mess.
If he's to lazy to get a second job, what makes he actually has "a" job at all. The true AnalFloss is now showing himself.
Probably because his wife makes as much as he does....and that's why he's against income splitting because he doesn't get anything out of it....
But free daycare would benefit him.......how altruistic huh?

I warned him years ago about how expensive kids were. He insisted he could handle it and laughed. If they are young enough to to need full time care, they are stil cheap. He has no idea what is coming. Poor bastard
I don't know why getting a second job is unrealistic. I've worked two jobs and after 5 years with more education and experience I was able to drop the second one. If I had to do it again, I would. Thankfully, I don't.
I talk to people every day, some of whom work two jobs for many reasons - a spouse is unemployed or unemployable due to a disability or illness, some have larger families, (i.e. 4 or more kids) and still others are supporting families back home. Guess what? Most of them are individuals who immigrated to Canada within the last decade or so. I'm not necessarily saying that Canadians are lazy (well maybe I am) - just that perhaps we've grown too comfy and expect someone else to do the providing. Me thinks some people's work ethic has gone out the door!

EXACTLY!! That's why Trudeau & Mulcair are soooo out to lunch and why Harper, while not perfect, is the best of the 3 to guide us through whatever is to come. T&M figure they can control things; heck, Mulcair has stated that he can stop the war in the ME for heavens sake (by haulting arms sales and stopping the funding of ISIS) - gez, all by himself??? Seriously??

Saying that that expectation is naive, is part of the problem.
He won't understand Dixie, he's an ideologue, that is so emotionally and irrationally entrenched in his hate for Harper, that he will never see the reality.
If they are unwilling to do what is necesssary to raise their children they are losers and don't deserve children.
It is a global collapse so it is way above what Harper could manifest.
With unemployment being as high as it is there are no second jobs to be had. Shows how ill informed you are and how unrealistic your solutions are.
