Pharaoh once said to the Hebrew slaves, "You lazy man! Think about worshiping your God? Double your work! You lazy people! "
It is not a new thing under the sun that rich and strong people call the poor people lazy. They think they all deserve miseries because they are inferior. And they think themselves deserve everything good because they are smart and diligent, and generous of course, though they are reluctant to share. Then where is the grace of God? to both the poor and the rich? It makes no sense of God's grace when people take it for granted for everything they are given.
In the poor's eyes, the rich are usually tough, harsh and cool. It makes some of them seek revolution. They fight for their right, first as a human being. Then, for much more.
The tense between the rich and the poor seems never disappeared. It is good that the tense is under control by a good constitution, and the laws. It is not evolved into hatred and war again, at least in the west. The lessons of the bloody war in the past taught us both sides have something crazy in mind which needs to be controlled. Nobody is merely innocent or sinful. Nobody is justified because he is rich or poor, strong or weak. Everyone has his/her responsibilities and duties.
I think it is the ignorance of God's grace. It's fortunate for someone who can experience both, rich and poor. So they won't become extreme against each other. To be enemies is not the only choice for rich and poor. Instead of hating or blaming each other, you can learn lessons from your "enemies", or someone you can not understand.
Rich man, money or achievements are not all you have to get in your life. There is something meaningful rather than money, fame or achievements. Life is not something that you have to prove yourself strong and worthy. You are worthy before you achieve. Enjoy life and help others. There is a power stronger than take, it is to give. You are rich and powerful because you are able to give, share, and heal.
Poor man, there are so many possibilities in life to explore. It is not your destiny to be poor or helped or helpless. Life is full of chances and choices. Respect yourself, nurse and love yourself, no matter how others treat you. God loves you as you are.
Poor or rich, It's just part of life, but it is never important than life itself.
