Might work for in the city but as I have pointed out it does not work for the majority of the province. All you have to do is look at the number of mills that have closed since this scam was introduced. It has had a negative impact on rural BC which is where the real money comes from. House prices are dropping because of the lack of jobs.

You continue to prove what a caring fiscal conservative you are ever day!

Carbon pricing — the method favored by many economists for reducing global-warming emissions — charges those who emit carbon dioxide (CO2) for their emissions. That charge, called a carbon price, is the amount that must be paid for the right to emit one tonne of CO2 into the atmosphere.[1] Carbon pricing usually takes the form either of a carbon tax or a requirement to purchase permits to emit, generally known as cap-and-trade, but also called "allowances".

Carbon pricing solves the economic problem that CO2, a known greenhouse gas, is what economics calls a negative externality — a detrimental product that is not priced (charged for) by any market. As a consequence of not being priced, there is no market mechanism responsive to the costs of CO2 emitted. The standard economic solution to problems of this type, first proposed by Arthur Pigou in 1920, is for the product - in this case, CO2 emissions - to be charged at a price equal to the monetary value of the damage caused by the emissions. This should result in the economically optimal (efficient) amount of CO2 emissions. Many practical concerns mar the theoretical simplicity of this picture: for example, the exact monetary damage caused by a tonne of CO2 is uncertain.

There is your biggest problem in selling the scam. There is no environmental damage from CO2. Plants thrive on it. Things like this are always a problem when dogma meets reality.
DId you know that the carbon tax scam raised heating costs substantially for school districts throughout the province which the government did not cover with grants or grants to replace heating systems with more efficient ones? Please explain how this helped the average taxpayer.

Thank you. You continue to show you are an uncaring progressive who is only interested in taking people's money to further your own agenda.

The HALO fundraiser is Friday. It really would be nice to have that letter so we can show people that some progressives care about people.

Carbon pricing — the method favored by many economists for reducing global-warming emissions...

That won't be a concern now that we have this new technology.

Well it helped the tax payer when the Vancouver school trustees were fired for not producing a balanced budget .
If they didn't have to pay the carbon tax they possibly could have balanced that budget and we would still be paying for that dead wood .

Agriculture

While CO2 is essential for plant growth, all agriculture depends also on steady water supplies, and climate change is likely to disrupt those supplies through floods and droughts. It has been suggested that higher latitudes – Siberia, for example – may become productive due to global warming, but the soil in Arctic and bordering territories is very poor, and the amount of sunlight reaching the ground in summer will not change because it is governed by the tilt of the earth. Agriculture can also be disrupted by wildfires and changes in seasonal periodicity, which is already taking place, and changes to grasslands and water supplies could impact grazing and welfare of domestic livestock. Increased warming may also have a greater effect on countries whose climate is already near or at a temperature limit over which yields reduce or crops fail – in the tropics or sub-Sahara, for example.

Your spelling is indicative of a failed education system ... and why would I bother attempting to convert a rock. If you can accept absolutes from maybes, then you're (spelled correctly) the perfect Liberal voter.

Plant a dime. You may grow a money tree
