I take it Painter is the Rollins version of Pitt? Sound interesting, I'll have to pick up a copy.
One of many, & I’ve got a very dog-eared copy you can have if you want it. (Sigma Force is like “Scientists with Guns. A Team of Pitts crossed with James Bond”).

Rollins has a few different series going (like Cussler did) and that book happens to be the first one in that series. I’m assuming I’ve got 25-30 books by Rollins, similar number by Cussler, etc…

(I gave away about 400 books a couple years ago when all those folks where being housed at the Exhibition Grounds a couple years back due to Forest Fires, but picked up 50-60 in one shot this summer in a book sale in a curling ring on Broad Street that haven’t even made it out’a the box yet)

A friend of mine floated an idea. A (self-appointed, self-employed) team of retirees: government investigators, engineers, accountants, computer specialists, a lawyer or two. They read the papers for hints of miscreants, use their skills and the internet to gather the proof, then turn it over to the authorities (with full press coverage to make sure the authorities don't bury it).

I'm going to take you up on that offer. Apparently I still never returned the little rollerball thinger to Lisa. I just ran across it the other day.
