Well I thought since the thread os about righties giving to charity that if auto workers gave to charity they must be righties too.

My gawd, does it hurt when you become a commie, they suck out your brain by putting high pressure propaganda in your output?
For myself, volunteering to help the homeless whose funding is being spent overseas, and on refugees from the corporate hegemony of our glorious leader's masters instead of on them, - I do NOT get any kind of tax break for that. So it is actually charity.

Just your usual idiotic jumping to conclusions based on your erroneous impression of those who ideologically oppose you. I guess you're unaware that the CAW is a labour union. Unions, especially labour unions, typically don't vote Conservative. But I'm supposed to believe some ALT-left idiot doesn't know that. Do you know WHY they tended to give more? Because they understood what it was like to be without when they were on a long strike and Christmas was rolling around, or the kids' birthdays. But because they got paid pretty well, they tended to be more generous with charitable donations when they did have the money rolling in. Hell, after a while the CAW local in Windsor basically started their own Christmas toy drive to make sure as many underprivileged kids in the city as possible wouldn't have to go without on Christmas day.
And of course maybe if you learned to pay attention to context you'd understand that my comment was a direct reply to someone else's comment, not the OP. Here's a thought. Why don't you quit stupidly assuming I'm a conservative. Oh wait never mind. That's just not possible for you is it. But it seems that every week, in my mailbox I get a request for donation from a different charity and they seem to come from the same mailing source......

If it wasn't for the cost created by things like the communist unions, I wouldn't have to work so hard helping give the basics to people who can't afford to pay for their expensive breaks.

Most charities hire marketing companies so it is quite possible. Of course most of the money raised also goes to said marketing companies and the charity executive.
Mostly your money does more with local service clubs.
That's why I think one should put out heart and effort as true charity before donating easy heartless money for the tax break.

Geez one would think Canada is a poor nation with a terrible standard of living!! The difference between Liberals and conservatives is perfectly obvious from the names.
Liberals are generous sometimes to a fault ... they actually feel that those who pay taxes should benefit from the spending of them. Also they tend to feel giving those less fortunate than ourselves a helping hand is a good thing.
Conservatives usually feel the top 1,2,or 3 percent of the richest should pay little or no taxes. They certainly prefer little or no health care for those who pay the taxes and certainly the last Conservative elected here was gender biased and would of restricted birth control and remove abortion access if he could have!! However, since women have a say he prudently backed off.
Every time the Conservatives get elected they spend us into war or poverty and it takes a Liberal as long to get the economy back on track.

Take for example what the commie and ndp postal union did to the returning info mail from the ODSP people ( disability recipients if YOU don't know) which was going to ODSP, which made all their checks late last December, in order to try to hold up the government by holding the disabled HOSTAGE, for their own gain. That put a horrible strain on our soup kitchen/ food bank that month.
That was UTTERLY DESPICABLE.

Should we discuss how I had to threaten a principle who was a half credit class RELIGION teacher with a letter detailing her lack of qualification to teach in Ontario to get my grade 12 because she couldn't win a debate as voted on by that particular class? I won every one according to them ( they had voted me to be their debate spokesman) and she lost it over that.
I had my grade 12 the next day. I still talk to the nun who filled me in on that fact, though she is no longer a nun now. The principle did not return the following season either.
