What's Trump Done Now?

He is, in most ways, a caricature of THE stereotypical American.

The fleeting expression on his face when he was getting himself in front of that Prime Minister was...priceless.

He is the physical embodiment of America, herself.

"It's ME! I'm HERE!

I'M what matters!

What makes them good people though?

From many years of travelling to the U.S. extended visits, I could probably list half a dozen attributes including, friendliness, generosity, providing excellent service at reasonable price, going out of their way to be helpful, accommodation. In 40 years I had one bad moment with an American which lasted one minute and that was with a cop who mistook me for some dude that was breaking into cars. :) :)

I have a friend in the US who's father served in the USN back from the Korean War days through to the late 70s. He was telling me how he was on an exchange with the RCN in the 60s and was supremely impressed with our navy. Not so much the size and firepower although we still had a real navy then. He was impressed with the cleanliness and overall condition of our boats and the professionalism of our sailors. When I broke the news to him about what the RCN's equipment was like now, he actually got upset about it.

Actually, the RCNs equipment .. what's left of it ... is in pretty good shape, these days. There just isn't much of it left. The Frigates are all cycling through a major midlife refit right now, giving them new surface-to-air missiles, new anti-ship missiles, new version of the Close In Weapons System, new radar, new countermeasures, new sensors, FINALLY new helicopters. They are vary capable warships with incredible range that can cruise all over the world. Two of them are across the Pacific, right now and if the American carrier fleet takes action, they plug right into it and can immediately operate as part of it. Those frigates are newer than most of the American vessels that would be sailing around it.

Even the subs are finally sorted. It only took two decades and a king's ransom but they are real weapons, finally .. potentially very dangerous ones.

Didn't the last guy who didn't few up get fired?? . . . . or will he commit treason and say Trump put him up to it??

Jared Kushner hid dozens of meetings with Russians from his application for top-secret security clearance - Salon.com

True....

....but there is ugly.
Why is relating how it was many years ago taken as justification for it being alright to be a lot more like military police tactics rather than civilian police tactics?? Apparently the tactics used back then were wrong or they wouldn't have stopped using them.

The Democrats have started calling special election losses as victories now. It's that bad for the Dem libs here.

I could say the same about every country I've been to. But Americans seem to have no motivation to build a just society or reorient their country away from being exporters of terrorism. Like Donald Trump said about Mexicans, I'm sure some of them are good people, but I just don't think they're culturally compatible with a modern, enlightened society.

That isn't the question that should be asked.

Which enemies does he do business with how could he and his family benefit from being president.
The same enemies that the Obama administration did business with. With maybe the exception of Iran.

You're probably partly right, but wrong in one aspect (I may sound unpatriotic) that they are culturally superior to Canadians when it comes to being hosts in the hospitality industry and that is one place their generosity shows. :) Americans have seemed to have shed the class consciousness that the Brits are renowned for and many Canadian have seem to retained.

Don't judge a culture on how friendly their tip-workers are. Americans in the hospitality industry are nice to you because they have to be. It's not a system based on any cultural disposition towards being decent to visitors. It's based on keeping workers desperate to maximize profits.

Except for the Pope, this is one very eerie crowd.
Seriously if I had that Nun to the far right I would have had an entirely different life. The painting is equally as creepy and last but not least, wheretf did the 3 dwarfs come from??

I wonder if Don knows he is the only one smiling??

They put on hats to be in Church and we are expected to take ours off when entering the same place. Something fishy is going on. Will Trump be impeached because he is the (falsely) prophecised AC that happens just before Israel becomes the capital of the world. Hmmm,. . . . When did God's last name become Rothschild??
