Frenchie, I sure am glad you didn't write any scripture. Imagine if there were the Book of Frenchie. "Thus sayest the Lord. I demand and command. Listen or die". Not very uplifting. Do you believe in a God or gods or not?
Apparently those items you list are hard for people to do or not do. Are the 10 commandments unreasonable? I think they make a nice set of rules to live by. Yet, we humans struggle to obey those rules. Seems to me God is a reasonable fellow. Would we rather have a God that didn't care if we committed murder and mayhem?
I'm sure that it's as relevant as the pseudo intellectual mumbo jumbo that permeates this thread......;-)Love the Wildebeast. I really have no idea how to incorporate them into the conversation. I'm not even sure what is going on. I'm sure all are shocked that I am clueless.
Sleeper - you will have to admit that the wildebeast is evidence of the existence of God. Wouldn't you agree? Certainly, such a magnificent beast wasn't thrown together by intergalactic dust and such. Rather, this animal is sound evidence of an Intelligent Creator. Will we not have egg on our face if upon our death we greet God with the notion that He didn't create such a beast? Will we say to the Almighty, "Oh, I beg to differ. Such a beast came about by the mixing of space sludge".I'm sure that it's as relevant as the pseudo intellectual mumbo jumbo that permeates this thread......;-)

Frenchie, I'm going to need a few hours - well maybe a few days to digest what you have written here. In the meantime, we can't save ourselves because we are basically all idiots. Strive as we will, we will never attain moral perfection. This is a good thing to ponder what you have said here: All men are sinners.
The wages of sin is death. Do the math.
From what I gather you do not believe there is a God that said such things? Say there is. Isn't He just being free to be HE. That's what we are dealing with. A God with unattainable high standards? And there is the rub. Is God a maniac? He knows we cannot prefectly keep his rules. Afterall, if he were GOD, he would deliver us. I get that, but I look at the factor of time. Yeah, I know he can overide Time, but he chooses not to. Does it matter that he says at the appointed time there will be no more suffering? Lion will lay down next to the lamb (and not rip its head off)? We just have to wait. ?????
9;29 that's forking near eternity with my conexzeon. Is there any nudidtitty?
Tons! Particularly at 2:25 (Genesis, KJV)
