Jack Layton is the Canadian version of Bill Clinton.. :lol:Didn't you pick-up on that message Johnny?.. Jack was plying the message that we should all vote for Hope... He just never mentioned that Hope was his rub-'n-tug therapist.

Some Pearl Harbor event? Just who is going to bomb us and why would they even bother? You do realize that though this election is important to Canadians, it is hard a blip on the radar of other countries. I think you have to take a very deep breath EAO - truly.I predict Canada will be directly affected by some Pearl Harbor like event within a year.... probably within 6 months.
Harper is here for 4 more years of good management.
Why? Did you hear a denial?Jack Layton is the Canadian version of Bill Clinton..
Of course. I'm just saying that Harper should have treated the Bloc with more respect as democratically elected MPs. Again, the Conservatives were not the only guilty parties for this lack of decorum. Generally speaking, the vitriol spewed from all sides of the House. That has got to change.
I honestly hope so. I'm afraid that it will be 4 more years of Harper/Flaherty/Conservative management, though. But we can always dream. After all, now that they have a clear majority, there is no one to blame for spending like drunken who res with a sugar daddy's amex card. I have a dream. And that dream is a fiscally responsible government. No cuts to taxes until the deficit is controlled.
Just curious.. What do our regional candidates actually do?
Arts funding? HA!
I have no problem cutting arts funding, as long as we cut funding to sports as well.
Well, actually....it is.
It is called "first past the post', and it certainly has its flaws............but it is democracy, one riding, one representative of the people of that riding.
I am amazed at how upset people are suddenly, when the Liberals ruled through two majorities with significantly LESS than 40%.......but I would be very happy to see a preferential ballot in place.
As for the Liberal/NDP whiners.....guess you should have voted Reform back in the day, huh?
We would have fixed that.
We'll have to cut more than that to feed the voracious war machine. It costs a lot to root out the boogieman ya know.I have no problem cutting arts funding, as long as we cut funding to sports as well.
Regional representation is the best way to ensure that regional issues that require federal action actually receive attention from the gov't. No one lobbies as hard for an issue to be dealt with as someone with a vested interest in making sure that it is done.
Sports funding first..........we can't afford this crap!!
this country is turning to garbage, ran by stupid ****ing neanderthals !
I have no problem funding arts that have a chance at becoming profitable, its called venture capital.
anything else is called bad business.
