VanHalen. First album, on vinyl. That is a big 12" diameter disc like object that is spun at 33.333333333333333 rpm and then, get ready for this, a piece of diamond is set to drag trough tiny grooves which have been, oh hang on a second,...
Ok just had to 'turn the record over, LOL, anyway the grooves have been pressed into the vinyl under extreme, well, when it was hot, then when it cools then out comes the diamond and a little magnet stuck inside a coil of wire and the little bumps that were pressed into the aforementioned grooves when it was hot and all that, make that diamond move around in a funky rockin' way then the magnet and wire coil thingy have a special interaction and actually make electricity. Now here's the mind blowing part, that electricity goes into an amplifier and then on to some speakers and if you have chosen your components wisley your are sing, Oooo Jamie' Cryin' or maybe I'm Your Ice Cream Man.

The Beatles, Rubber Soul. I love this album so much I have it on CD, Vinyl (mono and stereo), and I'm sure theres a cassette copy in a box somewhere.
