Burrows is side lined with upper body injury.

he was taken off the ice on a stretcher, don't know exactly what happened,
sure hope it isn't a head injury, cause not sure why he wouldn't be going
off the ice under his own steam, otherwise.
will watch for further details.

It's the Trojan Horse tactic.

This is the turning point. Alex is in the hospital, wearing his pads and skates, surrounded by teammates when he says "win one for the Gipper".

They already have, three times that I can recall!

yep, And only one of those teams was a high end in talent, 2011, the others is old time
hockey, different hockey, the speed in the game now, was not there then, so i discount
those teams in my mind, stuff happens, can't compare then, to now. can't live in the past,
must let that go.

burrows left the ice on his own, but was put into ambulance on stretcher, still
no details.

Isles lose in OT to Caps 2-1

fans were very into the game with rhythmic clapping & chanting so that the announcers said the atmosphere was like a European soccer match - but how I hate to see all that hard work go down the drain when the other team wins! Well, they won it fair and square and that's to their credit

Desperately scraping at a little reverse psychology. :) :) Sitting out period 2 as the wife is watching N.C.I.S. Hoping for a pleasant surprise by the start of period 3. :)

What we heard was that he cracked a/some rib(s). He's out for at least this series.

but I can't find any confirmation on that

i was a bit worried when miller came into the game, but he played extremely well, so that was good.

first 3 goals were all power play near the beginning of the game.

3rd goal for calgary was poorly played by lack, way out of position.

calgary had more energy than vancouver, but vancouver had their chances, hiller played extremely well.

too bad burrows was out of the game, and also richardson, both of them were missed.

calgary up 3 gAmes to 1 now, vancouver backs against the wall.

cAlgary have built this team for two years now, and the results are showing, vancouver has had one
year to build their new look team, both teams are improving, calgary seem to be a bit further
ahead, as the speed is the difference, and vancouver need to bring a few younger
players onto the team over the next couple of years, like calgary have done,
and many other teams as well.
next game in vancouver, we'll see how that one goes, its not over yet.

i'm extremely pleased with the play of the twins, they have taken their games to another level, they
are pushing themselves hard, skating harder, and playing harder, they are the best players for the
canucks.
i am a bit disappointed in vrbata, he scored over 30 goals, best player for canucks all year, but he
hasn't done much of anything in any of these games, his game isn't more energetic, he isn't looking
like that mvp of the team at all, just the same speed, same effort, but this is playoffs, everyone
else, who can,has taken their games to a higher level, that is necessary in playoffs.

i'm watching 2nd overtime period in chicago, great game.

burrows will miss whatever is left of round one. big loss, he is one of the heart and soul players,
especially in plaYoffs, a player who can raise every part of his game for the playoffs, some of the
players have not done, but i must add, that some of the players have no more to give, and they are
the plAyers who will be phased out over the next couple of years by the young ones who will be very
eager to replace them, horvat has stArted it, kennens Also showing lots of eagerness and energy to
make a difference, spisa is coming along, will get better, linden vey hAs A lot of talent, but he
is small, and Also young, we'll see about him, bonino needs to improve his skating, not fast enough.
not sure about mathias, he has fits and starts, sometimes looks like a power forward, but other times, he looks big and lazy, he is a ? to me.

can't wait to see all the young ones at training camp in the fall, it will be exciting.
