WE really need to get rid of this guy

The old adage is that when you’re pointing your finger at someone else, there are three fingers pointing back at you.

Justin Trudeau is the living embodiment of that saying, something he proved again on Monday.

Trudeau was addressing the Liberal caucus meeting at the resort of St. Andrews by-the-Sea and responding to the election of Pierre Poilievre as Conservative leader.

Multiple times, Trudeau highlighted the need for action on climate change, the need to reduce emissions, to have a NetZero economy. He chastised Conservatives for not doing enough on the issue or believing action is needed.

“When Conservative politicians say we should fight inflation with more pollution, we’ll remind them that climate change is real,” Trudeau said.

It’s such a concern for Trudeau that he flew his cabinet to Vancouver for a retreat last week, flew back to Ottawa and then on to New Brunswick this week for his caucus retreat. They could have all simply met in the nation’s capital, where they need to gather on Thursday, but that doesn’t meet Trudeau’s jet-setting lifestyle.

He also warned against fear being used in Canadian political discourse instead of hope.

“Now is not the time for politicians to exploit fears and to pit people one against the other,” Trudeau said.

That’s rich coming from the man who regularly uses shootings in the United States to push new gun laws here while doing nothing about crime. It’s rich from the man who spreads fear that if Conservatives are elected, abortion will be outlawed despite Poilievre saying that’s not something he will do and the 10-year track record of the Harper government, etc….

The rest at the above link.

As for pitting people one against the other, Trudeau won the election last fall by exploiting fears over COVID-19 and a new wave rising in Alberta. He campaigned in the suburbs of Vancouver and Toronto warning voters that unless he was returned to office, what was happening in Alberta would come to them.

“A decision was made to wedge, to divide and to stigmatize,” Liberal MP Joel Lightbound said earlier this year. “I fear that this politicization of the pandemic risks undermining the public’s trust in our public health institutions.

Trudeau can’t warn anyone not to use fear or division — they are and always have been his bread and butter. It’s effective politics, it wins elections, but it is bad for the soul and fabric of the country.

As for Trudeau’s warning of reckless economic policies from Poilievre, it was Trudeau who told us last year that he doesn’t think about monetary policy. He had been asked if he would renew the Bank of Canada’s mandate to keep inflation in check when he gave that flip answer, claiming that instead of thinking about monetary policy, he thinks about families.

As I wrote at the time, ignoring monetary policy would hurt families because it would allow inflation to go unchecked, making life less affordable. When Trudeau made those comments, inflation was at 4.7%, it hit 8.1% two months ago before dropping down to 7.6%, and is expected to remain high well into next year.

Families have faced skyrocketing food, housing and energy costs for more than a year and the reaction from Trudeau hasn’t gone past that shrug of the shoulders, his smirk and glib answer.

His government has been warned by top bank economists that they are adding to inflation with high levels of government spending, but they have refused to control that spending and instead are talking about responding to inflation with more spending. Last week, the Bank of Montreal warned that more spending would make things worse, while CIBC warned of the government setting an “inflationary fire.

And Trudeau wants to talk about reckless policies?

Politics is about comparing and contrasting policies and personalities, there will always be conflict, but when Trudeau warns you that his opponent is dangerous, reckless or worse, take a moment to look at the three fingers he has pointing back at his own record.

I hear talk, at least in BC of a carbon scam tax rebate for low income citizens. Proving that carbon tax is a tax grab if only rich people's carbon needs to be taxed.

Well, if ya "hear talk," it MUST be true!
Actually it's a time honoured political technique. Want to do something? "Leak" what you are thinking to a friendly journalist. It goes on the talk shows and the news and watch the reaction. If favourable, proceed. If not, tweek and then proceed or not. So if you hear talk you are likely hearing something the government is thinking about.

True. They call it 'floating the balloon'. If the public freaks they can deny it was ever even being considered, if the public likes it they proceed.

What is the saying ? Small minds talk about people .Average minds remark on events . Great minds discuss ideas .
Well it's a lot slicker than the one i was thinking of, which was "Hungry minds AUGHT to be thinking about what drives the prices of what they need up in the first place or they're going to starve to death".

Mind you it does fit with the liberals overall historic model - make people dependent on the gov't and they'll be afraid to change it for anyone else. Most people don't realize it, but as douglas adams said providing for a man's every need is one of the most effective ways to enslave him.

Prices go up - libs give freebies - people flock to the libs to get freebies - prices go up. Repeat.

As affordability woes dominate the national political conversation, the Liberal environment minister says climate change is linked to cost-of-living concerns and will remain high on the federal government’s agenda.

Although climate issues are “probably not as much at the forefront as they've been … it's still an area of concern for many, many Canadians,” federal Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault told Canada’s National Observer in an interview.

“Frankly, in terms of climate change, the arrival of Pierre Poilievre doesn't change anything for me,” he said. “If anything, it's going to make the contrast between what we're proposing, which is to really tackle (he spelled TAX incorrectly) in a way no other government has done before the issue of climate change, for many different reasons.”

The Conservative Party of Canada’s newly elected leader, Ottawa-area MP Pierre Poilievre, ran on issues like housing, affordability and the economy.

With such pressing cost-of-living concerns, the federal government has two choices, said Mark Winfield, a political scientist and professor of environmental and urban change at York University. Climate could be sidelined, or the government could integrate climate into its proposed solutions, he said.

“We can work on affordability while we're working on climate change, and that's a message that's coming up loud and clear here from many of my colleagues,” said Guilbeault. He added that at the caucus retreat, “I haven't been in one session (of just Liberal Staffers & MP’s) since I've been here where people haven't talked about climate change, where people have been [talking] about the links between climate change and affordability.” Not surprised.

🆗Canada. Let’s recap. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Someone just asked me “What did trudeau and the Liberals do that’s so bad?”
I told them:

The minister of defense is guilty of public perjury, gross negligence causing a threat to national security and should be in jail.

The minister of finance is guilty of inside trading - a 10 year sentence.
The minister of immigration actively and quietly attempted to remove protections of FGM from the Canadian citizenship guide, which HAD he succeeded would have provided a lawful excuse under current Canadian laws for practitioners of this crime on humanity to never face sentencing or punishment if they performed it here. DOMESTIC TERROR
THE PRIME MINISTER IS GUILTY OF DOMESTIC TERRORISM AS WELL WHEREAS:

1/ according to sec 83:01-83:09 of the criminal code of Canada; any political leader in Canada who insights, endorses, supports or forces ANY IDEOLOGY upon the citizens of Canada is guilty of domestic terror.
2/any citizen who is actively sending money by donation or otherwise to any org that has KNOWN affiliations to terrorists is committing domestic terror

He blew the Asia Pacific deal. He blew the helicopter deal with the Philippines. He blew the pipeline deal. He blew the deal with China. He blew the deal with Europe. He blew pot legalization. He‘s screwed up immigration. He’s now totally screwed up NAFTA. What more do people need to realize Trudeau is a complete failure at everything he does. Do we need to mention the fiasco at our Southern border?

-At the G7 he pledged $400 Million to Education around the world along with another $180 Million to the Global Partnership for Education in Europe. None of it is going to fix our messed up school systems here at home. Meanwhile education cost are skyrocketing for our youth making university a mountain to high for many to climb.
-He pledged $241 Million to Family Planning around the world including a $20 Million donation to the Bill and Hillary Clinton Foundation (because they have integrity!). This all happened while he told vets that they were asking too much.

-He pledged $2.65 Billion to climate change at the Commonwealth Leaders Summit and now he is trying to bully the provinces into new taxes to pay for this pledge.
-He pledged $300 Million to the Rohingya Refugee crisis while we have a refugee crisis of our own flooding into Quebec that he won't address.

-He pledged $125 Million to Caribbean Reconstruction while our own infrastructure in cities is falling apart.
-He pledged $650 million to Sexual and Reproductive health in Haiti and around the globe wanting safer abortions for woman while many woman in our own country are left without a family doctor.
-He has pledged $50 million to Palestine for flood relief when NB had some of the worst flooding in decades this past spring.

-He pledged $840 million to Syria for Humanitarian Assistance when half the native reserves in our country don't have clean drinking water.
-He gave $10.5 Million to a convicted...CONVICTED terrorist in a backroom deal that has lead to another $30.8 Million payed out for three other fellers who say they were wrongfully detained.
-And just recently he spent $4.5 Billion on a pipeline, and now the courts have ruled it shut down. Good investment for Canada he said.

Replaces Canada’s old F-18s with Australia’s old F-18s.
Waves to an empty tarmac when boarding the government plane.

Thinks we should thank muslim refugees for moving to Canada.

His love of all things Castro and all things Red China.

Imposes tough regulations and taxes on oil from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland but not oil from Saudi Arabia.
Every new project has to undergo strict environmental assessments...except cement plants in Quebec.

Says that a proposed pipeline must consider “the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors” (what does that even mean???)
Thinks older Canadians should be replaced.

Chases foreign companies (and their investment capital) out of the country like they have the plague.

Chases our WW1 soldiers out of our national anthem... lest we forget.

Brings in 10s of thousands of unemployable “refugees”.

Tweets out a welcome to 10s of thousands more fake refugees from the US (even gets the RCMP to be their bellhops).

All his fake refugees get better healthcare than Canadians do, while they put a strain on all our public services and contribute little.

Continuously uses identity politics...then complains about identity politics.

Forgot Alberta was a province.
Called small business owners “tax cheats” while he sucks at the teat of a family trust fund.

Taxes cow farts.
Ask questions about money spent on illegal immigrants and he calls them intolerant racists.

We have an equalization program but he gives half of it to one province.

Says “diversity is our greatest strength” but his divisiveness tears us apart.
Screws up our trade relations with our most important trade partner because he failed to stop Chinese steel from flowing through to the states and he won’t give up supply management which hurts Canadian consumers.
$8 million for a skating rink. $4.5 billion for a 65 year old pipeline (and KM uses that money to build a pipeline in Texas)
Billions added to the national debt.

Kokanee groper.

Illegal migrants are just “irregular border crossers”.

Gets India to invest $250 million in Canada but we have to invest $750 million in India first.

Compared returning ISIS terrorists to Italian immigrants and says they will be an extraordinary powerful voice for Canada.

Lets Terrorists keep their Canadian citizenship.

Thinks Canada is 100 years old instead of 150.

Generally making life less affordable for the average Canadian.

Gave Canadian taxpayer’s money to the Clinton Foundation.

Gave Canadian taxpayer’s money to Hamas.

Still gives foreign aid to China?????????

Increasing the number of personal pronouns to 50.

Outrage over fake racist attacks, says nothing about real terrorist attacks.

Spent a little over $1.5 million on the trip to India that did nothing but worsen ties. Plus paid over $17,000 to Vikram Vij, a chef from Vancouver to prepare a meal for a meeting in New Delhi.

And the only PM convicted of ethics violations.

That’s the short list,,
Then I asked “What have they done for Canadians or Canada?”
