Maybe Grumpy can give him some temporary employment picking apples...though after this display of judgement I'm not sure if I would trust him to do that either.

Sorry, should have posted in purple. ;-)

Usually they are let go right before they are due a raise or qualify for benefits. Not really ethical but not illegal either.

Mea Culpa then You are forgiven, I take it back.

dogs are not 'heat animals'
they only sweat through their noses and paw pads. Once they get heat stroke they are crippled for life.

But to Reddnekk Bubba of Kempville, its his 'property'. not his companion.

Doubt if he had the A/C on. Someone might steal the truck, eh?

Good thing that those peeps in the "projects" or reserves are so kind to their animals. Makes one not want to waste them for how they raise chilluns.

it would have been funny if the thread title had been:

Northern Ontario,
When I had that little bichon I wrote about in another thread I was parked in front of a Laundromat on the outskirts of Ottawa, one summer, with a window cracked open, when some righteous busybody walks in with a laundry basket of clothes...as she walks by my truck, my dog whines through the cracked open window with her front paws scratching 10 miles an hour on the glass, her usual habit, to get a stranger's attention, the reason I kept my doors locked with a second set of keys in my pocket.
Well that woman walks in, spots some other local that she knows and starts railing in a loud voice about the arshole who left his dog in a hot truck outside......So I walk over to both women and said to her....If you listen carefully, even from inside you can hear that truck running...it's a diesel...and if you look underneath, there is a puddle of water , that water is not a leak, it's from the air conditioner, and I offered her my cell to call the police if she still felt she had too....

The old bat never even apologized...........

the part that would have angered me would have been that she hadn't already called the police if she really believed your puppy was in danger... what is wrong with people that they walk on by and don't investigate? If she thought he was in danger and was a decent human being why did she just leave him there? Frigging people!

Thta's funny. I guy left his dog in the car when I came by. He had left the windows open a bit. So I climbed into his truck and waited for him to come out, knocked him out cold, got back to my place and burned him at the stake while me and his dog ate chicken wings to his screams. Anyways, turns out you're not supposed to feed dogs cooked chicken bones, so the dog choked and croaked, but other than that it was a good story.

These sorts of stories always make me go 'hmmmmm.'. I've seen too many idiots leave their critters in cars for too long, but I've also seen too many people decide a dog that's perfectly fine and only in a vehicle for a brief moment, is in fact in dire straits, so that they can feel superior and dust off their hero capes. The nature of a pack animal is that it is going to be happiest tagging along on errands, and that sometimes necessitates a stay in a vehicle.

That being said, without being there, or knowing either of them, it's hard to say who is who in the dog in vehicle scenario.

You can buy the sunscreens that say:
"dog in Vehicle, air conditioner on".
Too wussy for a reel Reddnekk, but WTH...

little kids and pets die every year in hot cars, so we all are very aware of the possibility,

and when we see this possibility parked somewhere, our thoughts instantly become alerted, and

we have to wonder exactly what the circumstances are, and it is never wrong to 'make sure', rather

than just sluff it off and not want to interfere, doesn't matter if the person gets mad, they will just have to get over it, doesn't matter

if he/she was quite responsible, we will find that out when we inquire, it is the possibility of saving

the life, that comes first.

Walmart a good employer I nearly became ill from laughing. They have done all
they can to get out of paying their fair share when it comes to employees. First
they messed with janitorial services a few years back and got caught trying to pay
about three bucks an hour claiming it was contracted out.
they have been cited for discrimination and not paying women fairly in the past.
Walmart is like any other transnational they care only about profit and have little or
no ethics or moral code. Oh they pay lip service to a lot of things but they could
care less about people.

YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING.
The 'manager' peed off half the dog lovers in town trying to please one 'reddnekk kustomer'. Hire him to do what, Nick???

If you park with your pets in the vehicle, you turn on the a/c, put a big sign in the truck window saying pet on board, A/c on.
"A/c on" can fail.

Hey slick, take care of your week-old foot-in-mouthery first:

Hunny, hunny, hunny...

I must say that you're consistent dude. This time I come back from a Canada weekend visit to see that you have gone out of your tree or are the most naive and gullible schmuck I've ever encountered. Another quality post from hunny.

I hate explaining the obvious to special people but seeing that you are a little s-l-o-w on the uptake about things...

See, the first time I made fun of the fact that you not only bumped your little conversation with Murphy but you did it by QUOTING YOURSELF. Your own self. Do you realize how vain, self-important and idiotic that looked?

Anyway slim, of course nobody sent me a private message about your look-at-me post. Nor do I have a device that accepts text messages. The only two people that have my phone number are Bear and RCS and they haven't been here in a coons' age. And who would call someone about a retarded post anyway. That's right, nobody.

So now we have little paranoid you, thinking you have the goods on ol' Murphy or something and letting us all know you're on to him for ratting you out. What a dummy (to quote an oldtimer here). You're completely wrong. If you were a man you'd apologize to Murphy about your shortcomings and how they led to your display of public boneheadedness.

You're losin' it man. I suggest turning off your computer and seeing what's outside.

Oh, and lurk moar, post less.

C'mon, hotshot Tory insider . Lets see you deliver more than Puerile insults...

8O Oy !!

the "heat" is getting to a bunch of folks.

On a hot day, just make sure the pooch has lots of water in its dish and leave it at home.

just sayin.
