So you're trying to say that sanitation and nutrition is more effective at managing small pox? Why not other diseases? One disease has been eradicated. It strains reality to say sanitation and nutrition alone worked for small pox, and not measles, or pertussis.

You can't explain it without mentioning vaccinations, which makes the susceptible population lower.

Sanitation and nutrition lead the decline of that disease in every disease studied. In every case where vaccination has been hailed as the scientific miracle vaccination was commenced decades after the positive eradication trends had already been established by sanitation and nutrition. I might dig around and find the same old links I already posted here.
Vaccination is pure BS at best. It's been a control tool from it's beginning. That con coupled with the Prussian model of public education has produced the modern brain dead citizen. Pliable trusting and docile.
These diseases cannot be eradicated by vaccination and the modern outbreaks of these diseases are directly attributable to the poor quality of supermarket food and the toxin levels in our modern environments.

And yet, the only eradicated disease has been followed by an extensive vaccination campaign. Of course sanitation and nutrition are part of the story, I never said it wasn't. I'm saying that to talk like you are, and not mention vaccination is to not tell the complete story.

Vaccination is pure BS at best.

That is just plainly crap. The mode of action is well established, you can't simply will it away. We live in a universe governed by cause and effect, not wishful and illogical dim rodent reasoning.

You're questioning my reason with your reason not with verifiable scientific facts. The well established only lasts until the better established arrives. It has already been brought to my attention early in our electronic intercourse that you know less about cause and effect than my cat. You will never become aware that you, not I, are a poster person for the illogical and unreasoning masses. You might as well be doing toothpaste commercials on main stream TV.http://forums.canadiancontent.net/images/icons/icon7.gif

So how do you explain the eradication of Small Pox?

Easy, it hasn't been eradicated. It will occur where ever poor nutrition and hygene obtain sooner or later.

There are all kinds of people out there who believe everything is a conspiracy.
We laugh at the mentality of the third world and then behave just like them in
other ways.
Vaccinations have worked for decades. Social Media people posing as experts
have condemned them so automatically they are bad. We have people who
believe commercial jets are spraying chem trails to infect the population with
some evil plot its all nonsense

So you deny the existence of antibodies, or you deny the existence of the biological function of antibodies. Which is it?

Easy, it hasn't been eradicated. It will occur where ever poor nutrition and hygene obtain sooner or later.

Plenty of countries out there with poor hygiene and nutrition, lots of food borne and water borne illnesses. Where do you think this magic virus will emerge from? No cases since 1977. You're delusional. :p

Of course...... thought you were smarter than this. Think about it now..... we shouldn't believe stars when they dis science, but we should believe stars when they support science. Gotta do better Colpy.

Seriously??

They are not presenting an academic paper, they are not proving anything, they are simply using a visual aid to illustrate a point......and they do it succintly and convincingly.

Looking for a spat, Gerry??

The difference is one set of "actors" has no point, the other set shows their point quite effectively.

You are not one of those anti-vaccination morons are you??

I think I can get at Gerry's point in another way to get you to understand. How is this any different than say, Al Gore versus Mark Steyn? Both are not scientists, both are famous, and both have groups of people who believe they are making effective points in their communications. Ultimately what it comes down to, is that one group tends to accept scientific findings, while the other group inherently distrusts scientists. In one case, you Colpy, are happy to accept scientific findings, in another, you are not. Many people are accepting of the group that reinforces their biases, and it doesn't really matter who makes the point for them, it ultimately only matters that someone makes a point that you agree with.

If you crap on someone for giving a viewpoint outside their area of expertise, and laud someone else for doing the same...well there's a word for that.

In your opinion. I see different "actors" with different points of view putting those views out there for all to see. Difference is that you are putting more value on one over the other because one fits your world view and the other doesn't.

Some would have said yes, a few years ago. My first 6 kids were all vaccinated. My last one, only up to and including his 12 month shots. Why? because after his 12 month shot he was suddenly allergic to everything, and I do mean everything. Ever see a kid welt up from watermelon juice? It wasn't until this year that he got caught up with the rest of his shots. He is now 19 years old.

I have an 83 year old grandmother that could die from a common cold or flu, so although I agree that I don't need a flu vaccine, I still get one. I don't want to ever deal with the guilt that would come to me if I passed on something that killed someone else. I think most of us can understand this even if you don't agree with flu vaccines.

Seven kids? Wow!! Congrats, sincerely...

Now, why do you blame vaccinations for the allergies?? I know that the rate of allergic reactions and the rate of chemical sensitivities are growing........but I do not see any evidence that vaccinations are the culprit.

But he is caught up with his shots, so one needs to assume you are NOT really anti-vac.......

Going back to the original point, without vaccinations in the society as a whole, there is a very good chance that one of your children would be dead of small pox, or whooping cough, or crippled from polio....or....or...or

Which is the point made so well by Penn & Teller.

cause several doctors, GP, allergist, all said that the shots were the most likely culprit and recommended we NOT get his inoculations done any more. I'd hazzard a guess that they are probably more qualified to make that decision over you, Penn or Teller.

Actually there are conditions that might favor not getting the shot but for the vast majority
this is not the case. In our house everyone gets the shot period. My wife's health dictates
she not get the flu or anything like a respiratory problem or it could be fatal it does mean a
good stay in hospital so we don't take chances.
What I don't understand is the person who claims its a conspiracy they about as informed
as the fundamentalists in the Middle East that believe the vaccine will turn children into
Christians
