Both of us were clear. TC was quite clear.
We have both had differing experiences – your experiences are filled with Kumbaya moments, and mine were not.
]

Experience are irrelevant. You seem to feel your verbal expressions are dictated by the actions of others. They clearly are not unless you have some mental illness issues that would make that so.

My God, who has insulted you Cannuck?

Nobody has. Why?

Why do threads about insults invariably lead to insult slinging?

Because some are constitutionally incapable of resisting or walking away.

's'all about the attention they receive.

They need to return-bitch-slap and troll-bob their heads atchya.

It's their thang man. Not worth the grief tho'.

Experience is relevant- It is a part of what you draw upon to make decisions, courses of action that may be needed.
And if I am correct- And I am, at times admissible as evidence in a Court of Law.
You keep on implying that I am mentally ill. Why is that?
What have I stated that would cause you to make such a statement?

Doesnt mean we cant address the smaller 'problems.'

Sure, we absolutely can. But, where does retard rank on the scale of horrible insults? Maybe I'm just feeling somewhat flippant about it at the moment, but, if you're going to work to insult someone, it seems like the language you choose isn't the relevant part, the intent to insult is.

Don't be silly. A well-turned insult is an art form. Ill-phrased insults are like eating at McDonalds.

I'm not implying that you are mentally ill. I'm simply stating that mental illness could be a valid reason for an individual not being responsible for their actions. Since it is you that are claiming that you're not responsible for your actions, might I suggest it is you who are implying that you're mentally ill.

I go by the "pointing fingers rule" - one pointing at the other and three pointing back at the pointee. If someone says I'm a retard, I can agree with them since really they are saying that about themselves. In other words, calling someone a retard is retarded.

Where did I claim I was not responsible?

Its like anything else the use of words aside from being politically correct they
serve other purposes. For example I was taught that if you use a word to
describe something make sure its the right word. If there is a better word use it.
This was a school teacher back in 1961. He told me the problem is people don't
know how to swear. Instead of just swearing use the swear words sparingly.
That way the have more impact. For example instead of retard the idiot has more
impact I would think. A retard as described has some ability an idiot really has none.
As for South Park, Archie Bunker and a host of others they are really demonstrating
these terms are kind of ignorant like a reverse psychology and they are mere shows
to shock and bring attention to the fact that people use them without thinking of
how they affect the person being set upon. That to me is not about being politically
correct its about Manners. I don't offend people unless i am directly offending them
and want a response so I can offend them some more 'cause they just piss*d me off.

If you really need to insult someone, at least be creative about it. Like, "the best part of you ran down your momma's leg" or "if brains were sperm, you couldn't fertilize an amoeba."

I remember Jed Clampett on Jethro: "If brains was lard, that boy couldn't grease a pan."

I always liked "Boy, you got stupid you ain't never gonna use."

And I wonder what Unka Jed said to Ellie May when the mansion doors closed!

Slightly off topic but it reminds me of another old saw..................Said about a weakling "that guy doesn't have enough strength to pull a man's "member" out of a lard can.

My friend's mom in her thick Italian accent " Tony isn't stupid. Everybody else is just smarter than Tony."

Oh, you mean like the candle on his cake is flickering! -:)
