Obama is doing as little as he can on Syria.

Obama doesn't realize he can't stick his toe in the water. Obama has committed the prestige of the United States in the Syrian conflict. His current actions, however, are inadequate to stop the Iranian/Russian/Hezbollah/Alawite Alliance.

That means Obama will be defeated unless he escalates American involvement. He will be under tremendous pressure to do so from the Sunni powers.

Obama is irresolute. If he escalates further the Russians and Iranians will see his bid and call. Obama will have to fold. America will have been defeated once again.

The US has financial interests in the are to protect. Besides a war in someone elses country is good for the economy. Also gives the lefties something to worry about instead of interfering in every resource project that we try to get up and running.

War is good for the economy? Just like a broken window is good for the economy. Sure it means having to buy a new window, but the money spent on that could have been used for something else. Destruction always creates jobs, never wealth.

Syrian Rebel Commander Vows To Replace Assad With Islamic State Ruled By Sharia Law…

Obama is doing his part to further their cause.
Via MEMRI:
Following are excerpts from an interview with Ahmad ‘Issa, commander of the Syrian Suqur Al-Sham Brigades, which aired on the Al-Jazeera network, on June 12, 2013:

Interviewer: Does Suqur Al-Sham, or do you personally, hope for a political role, in the event that the regime is toppled?

Ahmad ‘Issa: We do not want to serve as a bridge, to be passed over and then thrown away.

Interviewer: So you do aspire for a political role?

Ahmad ‘Issa: Definitely.
We have been providing the minorities with their rights ever since the establishment of the state of Islam, since the beginning of the Caliphate in the days of the Prophet Muhammad, and in the days of the Righteous Caliphs, and to this day. Throughout history, nobody has suffered injustice under the state of Islam – the state of truth and justice.

Interviewer: In some Islamic emirates in the course of history – I could mention the Abbasid caliphate, for example, and Andalusia, Christians and Jews held ministerial posts, and even the position of prime minister. What is your position on a Christian becoming a minister, for example?

Ahmad ‘Issa: We will have three preconditions for joining the government. The first is that Islam must be the single source of authority of the state. We are not infringing upon the rights of others – this is our right, because 85% of the Syrians are Sunni Muslims.

Interviewer: What is your position with regard to democracy?

Ahmad ‘Issa: We are talking about a state of justice and truth. We want the people to be ruled by an infallible law – the law of Allah. We do not want people to be ruled by man-made laws.

It's hard to follow the play without a progrom. Get your progrom here.

Should that not be Pogrom?
Lebanon is starting to go down the tubes. Another civil war could be in the making.
Hezbollah is armed to the teeth and would kick the crap out of the army.

The US with their limited presence is stating they are there for the long haul. So how long will Assad last?
Depending upon how things go, how long before the elite put the Assad family down and cut a deal?

And Canada should stay the F out of it aside from humanitarian aid.

There is $25+ Trillion in natural gas off the coast of Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon and Cyrpus. US Canada UK and Dutch Germany went o get it out of there "on their behalf" but to get it out of there and of to EU/India/China means going through Syria and Turkey.

The maps tell the whole story.

Added: Russians and the Oligarchs that left Russia for Israel and took a lot of money with them are trying to hash out heir own deal.

Yep. It's the how-to of resource appropriation.

1. Find resources.

2. Begin to exploit.

3. If the locals get upset, start to pressure them with divide & conquer tactics.

4. When the locals counterattack, go to war.

5. Declare repeatedly how you're doing it for their own good while leaving it up to your more hate-filled supporters to fill the media (whatever the media) with stories about how horrible "they" are.

6. Continue warfare until the original cause is forgotten.

7. Appropriate resources.

It's how the West was won.
