But UN is completely unbiased & UNRWA is essential for the Palestinians (except when Hamas or Friends are shooting at them in/at the UN/UNRWA compound I suppose).

So…with the Biden peace cease-fire proposal that leaves Hamas in power in Gaza & removes Hamas from power in Gaza…without saying how it’ll accomplish either at this point, I wonder how UNRWA (as essentially not only a wing of the UN, but a wing of Hamas) fits into the rebuild plans for Gaza in the “day after” context & concept?

Well, from what they’ve been saying from about Oct 8th, give or take a day, they want to remove the threat of future attacks from Hamas on Israel from ever happening again.

The Qassam Brigades responded saying it was “ready”. The threat of the ground invasion, Qassam spokesperson Abu Obeideh said, “doesn’t scare us”.)
I guess that for sure would include the military wing (the Qassam Brigades), but maybe not the communications/media/propaganda wing, of which I’m assuming the Hamas-run Gaza Health Authority is a division of? They’re so embedded that it’s hard to tell where they stop & start.
The Hamas group’s vast network of social welfare activities (fingers in many pies with 40-ish% for the big guys in Qatar, etc…), including food distribution during Ramadan and building schools and hospitals (through its UNRWA wing?), boosted its popularity over the years.

The United Nations Palestinian refugee agency was sued on Monday by dozens of Israelis who accused it of aiding and abetting the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel.
The plaintiffs are seeking unspecified damages for what they allege was UNRWA's "aiding and abetting Hamas' genocide, crimes against humanity, and torture," which they said violated international law and the federal Torture Victim Protection Act.
UNRWA declined to comment, saying it had yet to be served with the lawsuit, etc…
Frustrating isn't it? We need laws to be able to recall politicians between elections when they obviously go against the laws or even ethics of the country. Canadians don't have the same protections as they do in the U.S.
