Well, if Harpy gets in again, I hope he gets off his fat dairyairy and drops the debt some and shrinks the size of the gov't. So far it has grown by 14% since the COns got in. And they've added about $125B to the national debt. They could sure take their ads about how great they are doing and stuff 'em up their collective dairyairies ('scuse the French). So far that's cost some $120M since 2010 or thereabouts.
Not sure but I think unemployment increased, too.

And if you get rid of the useless bureaucrats it's apt to rise a tad more! :)

Just a thought, if $15 daycare comes in are taxes going to increase or is the debt going to increase? (People are always trying to distinguish between deficit and debt, when they are the same thing) Deficit is just annual debt, but what's to distinguish. Jr. should keep his mouth shut unless he's prepared to pay off the debt by 2019. He just thinks he's going to quit borrowing money on that date.

That is 100% malarkey. My household budget is around $2000.

If my heating goes kaput, I drawn from my savings.

Zero debt.

He could have saved or be could be like Ontario. Instead of buying a new furnace, go out and buy a space heater for every room on a A- credit rating.

I know so many people who if they find a dime in their couch have to run out and spend it along with $5 worth of gas doing so. :) :)

Sensible debt isn't an issue as it seems. The neighbour who upped his debt on a new furnace upped his home value and lowered energy costs. The space heaters will wear out quickly all while cranking up debt on energy.

Nope, I just ignored it, and acknowledged how I enjoy upsetting you.

Why on earth would I do anything other than?

It's okay little pup.

You can believe whatever you like as long as you keep bumping my threads. :)

Well, the barn built in 1897 when this was the NWT finally fell over in a storm this summer. Good thing. Far less nails to pull out of that old growth prairie fir that will f-ck up my planer. That wood is 118 year old, weathered fir beams and planks cut by hand and the stones from the foundation hauled in by my great grandfather are going to make the new house f-cking gorgeous and last hundreds of years into the future.

I am old stock Canadian

Sounds like an excellent project Peter, I'm a bit envious. Make sure you get some photos posted here when you can.

do you really think thread replies validate some little opinion of yours?

man.
Worse than that, he thinks I actually care or put as much stock in all this as he does. What a loser.

Seriously, you can't make up that kind of stupid, lol.

Without question, it's an odd turn of phrase. Since Thursday night, people have been trying to figure out what it means.

Is it a reference to the old days of white Europeans who once dominated the ethnic makeup of the country? Or was he simply talking about people who’ve been here awhile.

Can someone define 'old-stock Canadian'?
